I have family who live locally in the area and every time I visit I try to make an effort to go on the Kingfisher. Every time we go it is always a different experience. My children absolutely love it and it is the perfect opportunity to take some amazing photography of birdlife etc. I highly recommend for anyone to take the time out to come and experience it for themselves. You wont regret it.

It was a very chilly day and we had booked this ECO cruise through the resort we were staying at and all though we travelled about 20 kl to get to the boat ramp in Bamah we thought the boat would be crowded to find that we were the only passengers .We were surprised that the cruise would run with just two but were informed by John our very knowledgeable guide and driver that if there is a booking it will run.The cruise was terrific and we saw parts of the Murray river the we had not seen before along with many bird species ,we would fully recommend the tour but make it a warmer day

A beautiful way to experience the majestic Murray River and Barmah National Park. An eco-tour on an especially designed flat bottom boat with a qualified tour guide.A two hour journey that you will remember forever. As we glide along the history of the area is brought to life as we pass points of interest and local wildlife is pointed out and identified. The owner/operator loves her job and it shows. Stories of various happenings on the river from the past, present and futures are told as meander peacefully along the river.Would recommend for families, school groups and any one who is willing to go.Boat is accessed easily, has a opened sided roof and all safety measures are in place.

An excellent balance of climatic, geographical and environmental information and quiet times to experience the Murray waterways. Good value.

We have done this cruise several times over many years and feel it is unique as far as eco tourism is concerned. Overseas and local visitors we've taken are very impressed. What you see and where you go depends on the current water level. We went during the drought a few years back and couldn't go as far as the lake but saw quite a few birds. On our visit this month, we benefitted from recent flooding and went to more extensive areas, but on the day, unforunately, saw very little wildlife. However the guide can't organize or "buy" birds to turn up on demand. That is a risk you take. Gliding through the redgum forests over fooded parks and roads was so tranquil and the photographic opportunities plentiful.Given the scarcity of birds and wildlfe on our paricular trip we would have appreciated maybe passing around drawings of birds the guide talked about so we could see the spelling and learn a bit more about birds often in the area even if we don't see them as this is a "learning" trip. i.e sometimes old ears found it hard to hear the name of the bird being described. The guide is very experienced and knowledgable.

Also known as the "Barmah Choke" this is the narrowest part of the Murray below Hume Weir and the water travels at a much faster speed than elsewhere, There is abundant bird and animal life to see including Azure Kingfishers, Pelicans, Native Water Rats and many more. This was a well commentated and interesting cruise.

While we have no problem with the actual cruise we were very disappointed with the Companies customer service. The pick up point for the Easter Sunday Cruise was changed but we were not advised. WhIch meant we were waiting at the wrong place, fortunately the boat driver saw us as he sailed past and came back to get us. It was an embarrassing experience as we were made to feel it was our fault. An email to the company suggesting it would be a good idea to advise customers of changes received a very defensive reply, which also intimated it was our fault -not good customer service.

Took this cruise along the lake and Murray. 2 hours in duration, and although very imformative, if you don't like bird watching or being taught about local ecology, this trip is not for you. No toilets on boat and 2 hours could be a long time to wait if you're really in need (thankfully I wasn't).
