We took a punt and dropped in on our way to Milawa from Beechworth. We feared that being an early summer weekend we would have to fend off the trendies and hipsters. It was empty save a couple of young uni kids up for the weekend. We further feared that since it was so quiet lunch would be off, it wasn't. The owner couldn't have been more gracious and unpretentious and we tucked into a SUPERB platter on the terrace. We left with a head full of inspiring views and delectable ciders and reds. Three hundred and sixty degree views, interesting architecture and quality wine. We ended up staying too long.
Thank you SASG19 for your kind review, we really appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. My job is made all the more pleasurable by being able to serve guests that appreciate what we are about and having a product to back that up. We look forward to seeing you again in this part of the world, until then enjoy the cider.
First time we have eaten here. We have been for wine before. Had a mouth watering lamb ribs on fresh tasty vegetables in barbera sauce, lamb just fell off the bone. All the deserts were delicious and home made. Dry Orange Muscat was lovely. Definitely worth a visit for lunch on weekends or over the New Years holidays.
Thank you for your kind words. We're glad to see that everyone is enjoying the new menu as well as our much loved regional produce platters, wine and cider.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your time with us, and thanks for passing on your recommendation we really appreciate it. See you next time you're in the area
Thanks for your kind words Steven, we're glad you enjoyed your visit. See you next time!
Thanks for the review. Amulet Vineyard can be booked for a private function or wedding. We happily provide lunch by prior arrangement when weddings and other events are in progress but we can't take "walk ins" at these times. Lunch is available on weekends and throughout the week with prior notice. Bookings are recommended.
We had an amazing private dinner at Amulet vineyard, feeling very special having the winery to ourselves. Our host Sue was very knowledgeable about the local produce, wine and cider. After tasting the wine and cider's we decided on a glass of Amulet Bollicine (bubbles) to accompany our delicious platter which was brimming with local produce. After devouring the platter we wondered around the grounds to take in the beautiful scenery and then sat down to a scrumptious home made lamb shank pie and to help wash it down a lovely Amulet Cab Merlot. Thank goodness for our support van which was a bit heavier on departure due to the fact we all purchased a box or two of wine to take home. Thanks Sue, you made our night a great one.
Hi Robert we're glad you enjoyed your time at the Highland Games, and take on board your feedback about the catering. We have big plans for the 2013 games, (to be held on Sunday 18 August) including a wider array of food and more vendors as well as some other new attractions. We hope to see you again soon.
Glad to hear that you enjoyed your visit, the Highland Games are held annually on the 3rd Sunday in August (Sunday 18th 2013) if your planning on making the trip down next year.
