Yes you will have to queue - for drinks, the toilets, the concession stand - but it's a great music venue so you kind of have to get over it. Comfortable seats, friendly ushers and a beautiful old school venue that makes you feel like you're at an intimate show rather than some kind of mass commercial experience where you may as well just watch the big screen than feel like you're seeing someone perform live.

Fabulous as a night out with a classic performance. We saw Cyndi Lauper - an amazing performance. Just make sure you get close up seat as the back up high is too hard to see.

What a beautiful old building. Went there for the first time to see Bob Dylan. The sound acoustics were ok, the building fascinating. Worth going there for a night out just to feel lush and like you've stepped back into another era.

The rules!!!No dancing! No standing!...luckily our band got us all to stand straight away..what are they gonna do??Good views of stage from everywhere in Stalls.

Didn't really know what to expect. However arrived to this lovely old typical theatre looking building near the water. We arrived early and were able to sit on the grass area near the theatre and watch sunset which was wonderful.Getting into the buidling was easy lots of staff no huge line, guided to my seat and enjoyed an amazing show even from fairly near the back still had a good view would be confident that any seat in the theatre would still enjoy a good view.

Attended the Rick Astley concert at the Palais Theatre. Rick is a thoroughly entertaining performer and still has an amazing voice. He engaged with the audience with warmth and humour and had everyone up and dancing. It was a fantastic and fun concert and brought back many memories from the eighties. The Theatre itself is full of charm and grandeur - the only issue would be the limited bathroom facilities but it was a small price to pay for an amazing concert experience. Would definitely be back to see Rick in concert again but would also be happy to see other artists and performers here. 10/10 for a fantastic night out!

Arriving to see David Attenborough we had a short wait then were promptly escorted to our seats. The beautiful old theatre could do with some refurbishment but it was a great experience, our seats were in the lounge section and room was not a problem!

I recently saw the amazing Dream Theatre at The Palais and completely enjoyed the experience. What a charming old venue, yeah there aren't enough toilets and the line up for drinks and merchandise was over the top but this is rock and roll and the character shines through. I hope to attend another concert there sometime in the future.

This iconic St Kilda theatre has been the venue for rock concerts, solo gigs, theatre productions, opera productions, ballet productions and film festivals. Situated right next to the equally famous Luna Park, the Palais has been a part of my life since the 1950s. Today it is threatened with concrete cancer and possible demolition. THIS MUST NOT HAPPEN!! PLEASE SUPPORT THE SAVE-THE-PALAIS CAMPAIGN!

My husband and I went to see Jimmy Barnes on Saturday 18th. How old and disgusting is this venue. The toilets were disgusting and smelt really bad. The sink didn't drain in the ladies. The seats are really bad and squashy. People had to move out of their seats to let you past otherwise squeeze past. The sound was shocking and so disappointing as I love Jimmy Barnes but he even failed to make it a good night. I will never visit this venue again. Sorry guys. Pull it down and build something amazing for everyone to visit and enjoy.

A must do in Melbourne - go to a show at the Palais, but get there earlier enough to have a drink before.Lots of atmosphere, always friendly attendants.

Went here couple of time to see some performance. Last night was a comedy standup by Anh Do.I'm reviewing the place, not the performance. Place was a bit old and interesting. I'm valuing how well taken care of the place is, but seats are a bit tired and need refurbish. Space between the seat is to tiny and people need to get out to let people in. Toilet is good (for ladies), however the old setting making it long for people to queue and somehow block the entrance.Ushers are so responsive, helpful and friendly. Parking is abundant (however, ticket is a bit expensive with $11 for a whole day parking and it ended at 12midnight instead of a real 24hour) and because it's close to Acland St, you can always have dinner before or after the show easy.

Wow, a great theatre in every way. Ushers were really obliging, seating was good and BOY AND BEAR band was the best. A place to attend for any event..

Going to a concert here is worth it just for the building. It is so beautiful and has this great mezzanine area you can hang out in before the show. Beautiful carpets, staircases, ceilings. Wonderful old world place. Can't get here enough. And the location is second to none.
