If you like your spas luke warm, this is the place for you. If, like us, you prefer a hot and steamy bathing experience, look elsewhere. The public bathing was cold and tiresome after 10 minutes and the private area not much more impressive. The Salt pool and steam room made it passable but not at all worth the entrance fee. One thing the place has going for it is cleanliness in the bathing area, although the showers had wads of someone's hair in the plug hole. Not as relaxing as we were hoping unfortunately.

Pulling into the car park, I was impressed with the building, however it was one of the few impressive things I found. Greeted with the stench of chlorine, in what I thought was supposed to be "the health and wellbeing centre of Daylesford" was off putting to say the least, and the line that almost reached the door had me wondering whether I should continue with my visit, but the lone receptionist handled the situation well, was polite, greeted everyone with a smile and apologised for the wait and manged to get everyone in line through quickly. After that, I was left feeling ripped off. After paying $40 (which didn't even include a towel) I was shown into the Unisex change rooms, which surprised me in what is supposed to be a five star day spa, and then told that I was only permitted to use two pools, and I was NOT to go into the walled off area, and then I was left to my own devices to swim in what I can only describe as a heated public pool. I have been to spas all over the world, and I have to say that this one should not even be on a "to be visited" list.

My girlfriend and I were disappointed in the bath house. There are only two pools and both indoors, nothing like Peninsula Hot Springs. Customer service was excellent though and gave us a tour, however definitely wouldn't return as we felt like it was a waste of money and thought it was better to just use our hotel jacuzzi.

The pool was closed for maintenance but seems that we had that issue in Hepburn / Daylesford in February, so took it in our stride. We took the steam room / mineral spa bath / body polish (package) and it was a great experience. As tourism operators, it was nice to have a lovely treat. Thanks Fabian and staff - an indulgent few hours!

My fiancé and I decided to treat ourselves to The Sanctuary -- access to the general baths, along with spa couches, sauna, saltwater pool and monsoon showers. Overall we had a very relaxing experience. We are not sure, however, that the price differential between general access to the baths and The Sanctuary is worth the premium, but nonetheless, we are glad we went.

despite the stench of chorine we had to do it, We chose the package that included the steam room, salt pool, showers and bubble spa with lounges. Great value for money, especially on a Tuesday. Room for everyone and your bathrobe, towel, unlimited filtered water and fresh fruit are included. We did need two showers later the get rid of the chorine stench from our bodies - definitely detracted from the experience.

We purchased a voucher, which had expired but the lovely staff extended this for me which was a great start to our journey of relaxation.Only about an hour and a half out of Melbourne, nestled in amongst the trees we arrived at the Hepburn Bathhouse and Spa for two hours of chill time in the therapeutic waters. We were greeted nicely at the front desk, and headed down stairs to meet the lovely Simon, a most happy and friendly man who gave us the tour as it was our first time here. Awesome customer service skills from Simon who we found out is a local boy. He made sure during our stay if everything was ok. He also gave us a welcome pack of a towel and bathrobe to use while we were visiting. There are three areas in which we visited, the first is a bigger lap styled pool which was warm and a separate bigger spa which was warmer, both look out into the nature as gentle music is piped through the room. The second room holds a slightly bigger spa type pool but have 4 massage beds to lie in as the bubbles pound away your aches and pains. Most delightful and entertaining! The third room is a salt pool which is the hottest of all the pools, there are also monsoonal showers but unfortunately they were not working when we were there but were in the process of being repaired.A nice touch is fresh free water and the most delicious apples! The change rooms were unisex and clean and great showers with complimentary shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well! On the whole we had a lovely time at the spa, and went on to have a Devonshire tea at the little café and wander around the tracks and the springs. Great spots to bring a picnic or for families to play as well. A really great place to go for a day out!

Luckily we went in on the Thursday through a short stay. This was my first time at the bathhouse, and although it was relaxing at first as it has a nice setting, the strong smell of chlorine was overwhelming after an hour and a half. The staff are not very friendly and being day light saving it's absurd that the coffee shop closed so early. I would have been more disappointed had I come the next day to have to pay more for a place that definitely need a bit of TLC! Good for a "one off experience".

Loved this place. Great new building with indoor pools, one larger and a small one with jets which massage all parts of the body. Also so clean with ambient music and huge windows overlooking a lush hillside. The mineral waters make you feel so relaxed and healthy and you can fill you own bottles from the taps just along from this place past the Pavilion café.

I felt like I'd stepped into another world. It was absolute luxury, decadence & relaxation. I'll never forget it.
