First time I've had a butter tasting and an enjoyable experience, a variety of butters available for tasting, delicious. Placed in a silver lined bag to keep them cool for the trip home.

The coffee is good, and of course the butter products are very good. It is only open for coffee these days, shame they stopped the lunch and dinner option.

Ok I'm addicted to butter. Naomi was very informative and really friendly. Butter was fantastic and bought just about everything. Loved the different flavours. Really enjoyed chatting about the butter and what to cook with it. Is it bad to eat it like cheese?

This is a really convenient stopping point for riding on the rail trail. Nice atmosphere, though find that the cakes and food are really overpriced. Not a fan of their butter varieties, but there is quite a good range of other interesting bits and pieces for sale.

Had a stop on the way down from Hotham to Melbourne. it was a lovely place to stop and you can view buttermaking from the glass window. Tours can be conducted too for a small fee.Staff were friendly and unassuming. We enjoyed the starter platter with crisp fresh bread, and terrines, pates, good local cheese etcCoffees and sandwiches were good. The muffins were also fantastic with the butter. The butter is great! There was a little corner with toys, books chalkboard etc to keep the kids entertained.Definitey worth a stop along the way for refreshment

The Myrtleford butter factory was a great little stop on the way to Bright. amazing butter with many flavours to try. the tour of the factory by owner very interesting. fee for tour reasonable but you can also just watch the better being made throught the viewing window and read the information displayed

The staff member in charge of the sampling was friendly and knowledgable. We had a great conversation about the techniques used, where the milk came from and the different butters available. A viewing window into the factory is available. If my time hadn't been limited I would have spent longer there.I was given a lightweight cooler bag and a small freezer block to keep my butter cold. The bell shaped butter keeper they sell is excellent for keeping butter out of the fridge.

Advertised closing time at 5:30. Get there around 3 and the kitchen was closed. Only cabinet food was available. We expected some sort of butter special. No butter selection was available on the menu. They should have butter selection with some bread. They do have a sampling butter area BUT...... I was told that they don't have much today and to go and ask. I tried few times to approach the sampling area but was ignored by a busy staff. We were looking forward to go to that place it has so much potential and we all got disappointe.

cut little grift shop with lots of house made chutney's, jams and sauces. also a wide range of local preserves and goodies. food was very tasty with freshly made hollandaise and poached eggs, Bron the Head Chef is an absolute sweetie and cooks delicious cakes and slices. the coffee was ok but wasn't too flash. make sure you stock up on the butter and check out the soap!

Great for breakfast. House made buttermilk pancakes or crumpets or bacon and eggs and coffee. All excellent and brilliantly executed using local ingredients and their own creamy cultured butter. That butter keeps getting better and better. The Butter Factory is well worth a stop on any trip taking in the Great Alpine Road.

Called here twice as we rode up and down the excellent rail trail. First time shared a fresh apple cinnaman muffin with a cup of coffee. Second time we had a late lunch here, the menu appears to dynamic changing with the local produce that is available with liberal use of their different types of butter. The smoked salmon (sourced from nearby Healesville) salad was fresh and tasty. Lovely, love their butter!!

Went to Myrtleford Butter factory with a friend to learn how to make butter, was not sure what the day would hold, Naomi the owner was very informative and so friendly, loved the whole experience - also made ricotta and then ate lunch which was made from our lovely produce. Loved meeting other like minded foodies, chatted to so many interesting people over lunch and a lovely glass of local wine. Thanks Naomi was a unique experience and your butter is devine, well done
