Friendly service, excellent cheese and meat platter, very generous portions. Someone playing guitar and singing. An altogether perfect lunch in a lovely setting... surely the best lunch on the island.
My Family And I Went To Ventnor Beaches And Surrounding Areas, We Loved It So Much, We End Up Buying a Property There. VENTNOR Is Still Close To Everything But Still Not Many Tourists Knows About The Area YET.
With the immense pleasure of having friends with a holiday house in Phillip Island, the winery is often frequented by them and others. With knowing the owners, their family and friendly staff, being able to call or simply turn up and be accommodated is no hassle and welcomed with arms open and shared stories. Nestled with picturesque views which can occupy multiple needs, the winery supplies cheeses, meat platters, wine tasting, honestly, it's better on each visit. Tour groups are a common occurrence and with live music by Tim, it's an afternoon worth having.
My wife & I visited this winery in early January, as both friends and other family members had insisted that we should check it out. The wines are all of a very high standard, complemented by lovely food platters which contained local cheeses, trout, dips, bread, etc. All of this was consumed while sitting in very comfy chairs on the shaded verandah at the front of the winery, taking in magnificent views of the countryside, and being entertained by Tim O'Brien (the owner of the winery) playing guitar and quietly singing a few well-known favourites for an appreciative audience. It seemed that everyone there was having a fabulous time and was being made to feel like one of the family. Tim's wife, Trish, also chatted to all the guests when bringing out the food platters and ensured we were being well looked after. My wife & I are definitely visiting the winery again, and thoroughly recommend it to anyone heading to Phillip Island, whether to stay or just for a day trip.
We live on Phillip Island and would never miss the opportunity to visit the Winery when we have friends and visitors staying. You can always be confident that you will enjoy the Wine and food and the Staff are always helpful. The setting is terrific and we would recommend a visit to anybody who is visiting the Island
I came here with a friend as our first stop on our girls getaway trip... And wow. The service was fantastic, the location picturesque, the wine absolutely devine and the food scrumptious. I highly recommend everyone make this a stop on your trip to Phillip Island, you won't be disappointed!
We visited Phillip Island Winery as part of the bus tour itinerary. The wine tasting session was excellent and it was well explained in detail by Ben! Lovely place with beautiful scenery. Would definitely go back again.
I went to this winery & i don't drink wine but the yummy food was fantastic, very tasty & fresh meats, local cheeses which were to die for, dips & jams, breads & biscuits, very, very tasty. The people I was with enjoyed the tasting notes that were given verbally & the 6 wines that werwe available for tasting. I can't say much about the wine but the whole visit was most enjoyable even if we didn't hear the owner singing this time
This vineyard was a stop on our Phillip's Island Penguin Tour. The place was lovely, and the tables laid out so nicely with white tablecloths. The owner told us about the wines we would be tasting, and the pours were generous. Really enjoyed the artisan bread, cheeses, and homemade jam that went along with the wines.
This was a stop on our way to phillip island penguin parade. Its a small and private vineyard and the owners were actually there to serve us and explain to us the different wines they have.We tasted 2 whites and 3.reds all within an hours...happy times...Please look out for a winery stop included.in your day tour to penguin parade and this will probably be the place they stop atNice place to stop for a short break
This place looks like a painting with beautiful gardens an enchanting cottage in the middle of a Wide expanse of land and the ocean for a backdrop, everything makes it look heavenly. So a 10 on 10 for the beauty that this place offers. Inside the cottage was warm and cozy and everything looked really pretty so 10 on 10 for the presentation and the ambience. The hostess was knowledgeable and eager to serve and made our stay there really comfortable. If you are a big wine buff and you KNOW your wine then maybe just maybe you will be a bit disappointed. So absolutely worth a visit for the scenery that it offers and yeah and also for some fine Australian wine (I bought loads :))
I went with mixed feelings, it was not my place of choice, but this place was amazing, even the children were entertained. Everything was presented in such a way that your senses weren't flooded with new things to the point of overload. It was tasteful, no pun intended, it was aesthetically pleasing to both eye and palate, as well as calm and relaxing. A great surprise to me, who as I mentioned wasn't keen on going in the first place. I would certainly go back if the opportunity presented itself. Fabulous.
We visited this place for wine tasting. The local Gippsland cheeses, home made dips and fresh breads were delicious. But, the wines we have tasted, were mostly young wines of ordinary taste. Probably their fragrance will reach to a satisfactory level after aging. Thanks to Tricia for her warm welcoming and hosting.
We visited this winery as part of an organised trip to Phillip Island. It was not a pleasant experience. The wines were grim and were poured from bottles that had obviously been open for a long time, my wife said she thought they were a collection of dregs, it certainly looked like it! Avoid!
We had a lovely, tasty and relaxing afternoon at this winery. Staff were friendly, platters were excellent, tasty and value for money. Wine was fabulous and entertainment was very pleasant.Great indoor and out door seating. Highly recommend.
