Hi LynneSydney thanks for your review. We are indeed passionate about our product and it is always nice to get our customers feedback on our product as it makes our effort worthwhile. Look forward to seeing you again one day,
You won't find chocolates anywhere else that look and taste as good as these ones. As a family, we love the Lime Line, Passion Peaks, oh, and all the other chocolates too. This is a great little place to bide awhile and recharge your batteries with a lovely cup of coffee and handmade chocolate. There are always other tasty chocolate treats, such as brownies and scones to be tempted by. Of course you always need to take a selection of chocolates home. They make an impressive gift too. It may seem a little out of the way, but who doesn't travel 15 or 20 minutes to their local coffee spot at home?We first discovered this little gem when we stayed in Robyn and Neil's B&B and were treated to gourmet meals cooked by Robyn. This place is one to treasure.
Never tasted a chocolate that's sooooo delicous, it's a bit off the highway but well worth the trip.
Thanks crazyed for your review - we certainly welcome your feedback and we are glad that you stopped by! Hopefully we will see you again when you are in our area.
Thanks pickledpea for visiting us with your friends - we are glad that you had a good time and enjoyed our chocolates. It makes all of our hard work worthwhile when we get a good review like yours - I hope that we do see you all again one day soon!
Went to Renaissance Chocolates to purchase some chocolates for home and were met with attentive but unobtrusive service. The person serving provided two chocolates to sample (one milk, one dark) and showed us through the chocolates on offer with the information card. The room was divided between the coffee shop, which was well patronised and the chocolate selling area, while not large it was large enough for the four of us moving about. Would have liked to taste a truffle or two although I totally forgot about them at the time.
we tried this place for the first time and glad we did. The coffee. hot chocolates, white chocolate scones and hand made chocolates were all very good. Toilets were "rustic" to say the least.
Visited Renaissance Chocolates for lunch and dined on chocolates and coffee. Good smooth and rich chocolates were lovely to eat, but were a little costly. Good coffee.
We went on a Saturday and stayed for coffee and cake and scones. Very nice food but could've had more jam supplied and a pot for our tea with real tea leaves rather than a tea bag for $4. They need to improve a few things like this and offer a few samples of chokkies, then this place would be perfect.
Thank you Robyn and Neil for a superb B&B stay, In such comforting luxury accommodation, everything is thought of to give one a sense of pleasure, relaxation and personal treats plus CHOCOLATES Mmmmmm delights to live on and dream for ever. Thank you for the amazing friendliness, hosting, and the breakfast choices sourced from locals, home made Jams, the Risotto to hit the taste buds ...how high can I recommend you 20 out of 10 !!! Superb stay and take home Chocolate delights were sublime, once stayed never forgotten Highly recommended
While one can spend all of one's time in Rutherglen tasting wines, man dos not live by wine alone. So we saw the sign to Renaissance Chocolates and decided to have a look. The shop is 5 kilometers off the Murray Valley Highway to Rutherglen on a paved road and is worth the visit. They make their chocolates there by hand using local produce and include the fortified wines in some of their range. So many choices but the friendly owner gave us a taste of what ever took our fancy and then we made our selections. The range includes dark, milk and white chocolates so there is something for everyone. I really dark chocolate and theirs was smooth and light not too sweet with non of that cloying top of the palate clinginess you get from some commercial chocolates. They let you select your own choices for a presentation box for gifts or just a bag. They also sell prepackaged offerings. You are spoiled for choice and it is hard to go away from their with just a few chocolates. There is also a cafe so you can have a bit of a rest before you set off on more wine tasting. They also run a bed and breakfast which we did not know about but will look into on our next trip.Note: They are open Thursday to Sunday but are closed in February. Everyone has to have holidays.
It's a little out of town but it's on the way to #1 attraction - Warrabilla Wines. we didn't read the brochures correctly and arrived 15 minutes before the opening time. Fortunately we weren't the first and they had opened early. We stopped for some chocolates and coffee. Coffee not bad and the chockies were very exotic. they are around $2 each so they are a bit of luxury but they have tastes you won't find elsewhere. A nice break from wine tasting when touring around Rutherglen.
If you are questionning whether the short drive is worth it, don't! These chocolates are amazing, and there is such a variety. The hardest thing is deciding which ones NOT to take home!
The chocolate was delicous and the coffee was good. The owners are lovely and very friendly. Recommend the rocky road!
Handmade chocolates to die for, and quite a selection of flavours and believe me you'll want to have them all. We had coffee and chocolates to taste and went home with a bag load and I know we'll definitely be back for more. Service was very friendly as was the welcome by their retriever. Its a real "must visit" on your stay anywhere in Rutherglen, Beechworth or surrounds and worth even 3-4 hours drive just for the chocolate.
