I hired a Harley to ride down the ocean road. I was given a brand new bike with less than 100km on the clock. I was also given a quality jacket, helmet and gloves. Rental was not cheap but you get what you pay for. Very happy with the customer service.
I had a month traveling around Australia, part of this I had planned to check out the great ocean road. I found The Moto God by accident whilst looking around t'internet for places to hire a motorcycle to do this part of my journey. So after trading few emails back and forth with Darren I had booked a triumph bonneville for 3 days. When I arrived the bike was out the front of the shop waiting, the level of gear that I hired was well above expectations. Once Darren had gone over everything on the bike, I was on my way. I enjoyed the whole experience that much I extended the hire for an extra day. Such a pleasure to do business with so thanks guys. Also the shop is awesome spent so much money on some cool deus and alpine stars gear.
Had a really short window to take a bike out and found the guys were so helpful from the start, right through to handing back the bike afterwards. Full of good advice and local tips and tricks. The Triumph was a great choice (2 up), would go back again in a heartbeat.
Cheaper then peter stevens and more friendly that going to any other store I've been too. More then happy to buy any clothing or othe goodies.Respectful to my partner and myself. Looking forward to going back there :-)
i only had a short time to moto down the coast but The Moto God made motorcycle rental easy on us! Great fun!
Brilliant fun riding the big Indian along the beautiful Great Ocean Road. The best winding road with the best scenery of the coast on a magnificent motorcycle. Darren runs a great business - everything was well organised, friendly and had the right riding gear. You must do this ride.
My wife and I are on an extended caravan tour of Victoria, and my bikes are in storage, so we hadn't been an a motorcycle for months! The Moto God was the perfect answer. We didn't have a fixed date at first because he weather was a bit miserable at the time, but Darren was flexible and we were lucky that the Indian was available at short notice. We did the Surf Coast section of the Great Ocean Road, down to Apollo Bay for lunch, and back. All the gear supplied was new or near new, and the bike was ready to go when we arrived. The weather was fine and being a weekday, we didn't have to battle with the week-end warriors. We had a great day out on the Indian, and it gave us a much needed "fix" for our motorcycle-less travels. Darren doesn't have heaps of bikes available, but he has the right selection to suit the cruiser style of the Surf Coast area, and they are in tip top condition. And if you haven't got your helmet and gear with you, Darren can supply it. A great option for a two-wheeled trip down the Great Ocean Road, or any of the other scenic spots along the coast.
Received a gift voucher for my birthday to be used at The Moto God. My biggest problem was trying to decide what to get when there was sooo much in store that I wanted. Whilst not being a huge shop The Moto God have a select range covering riding gear, apparell, bike accessories, books and more. Brands like Bell and Roland Sands Designs are well represented here.Darren was super helpful in helping me select and fit a new Bell Custom 500 helmet. I'll be back for that Iron and Resin pannier, I swear!
This was one of the best trips ever. We were happy to find The Moto God right at the entrance of the Great Ocean Road. Cool Shop, friendly owner, great (no, awesome!) bikes! We were given detailed instructions of the bikes, and very good gear (helmet, gloves, jackets). What followed was the best trip of our lives! Awesome scenery, few people, and the bikes just rocked. Will do again, thanks Darren!
My wife and I did a ride on the Great Ocean Road. We rented an Indian and victory motorcycles from Darren at Motogod. What a great ride we had and the gear form Motogod was great. Darren and his staff were very helpful and friendly and nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend any one to do the Great Ocean Road on one of Darren's bikes. You won't be disappointed.
Had a great experience , ridding a brand new 883 sports Iron , what a privilege it was crusing the Great Ocean Road from Darren's Shop to Apollo Bay and Back, worth every cent.
Great alternative to the mainstream bike shops with really nice selection of gear. Given that Deus are not in Melbourne this is your best bet for cafe, scrambler or bobber gear south of the Murray
My husband and I love The Motor God for very different T-shirt. They're great quality and we really appreciate the personal e-mail from them if there's a problem with your order. They also try really hard to source the item for you which we really appreciated. I love checking out The Moto God web page because the T-shirts are really different, great quality and reasonably priced. Keep up the good work.
Recently I was fortunate enough to go on a pillion "Indian" motorbike ride down the Great Ocean Road. It was absolutely amazing! What a fantastic way to see the coastline and gorgeous beaches along the Surf Coast. Although I was a little apprehensive at first (it was my first time on a motorbike), it was such a relaxing experience and I could just sit back and enjoy the ride while seeing the awesome sites. If you are looking for a special gift idea, this is a perfect present for anyone, or for a treat for yourself. Thank you so much to Darren from The Moto God, this is an experience I will never forget!
The great ocean road in Victoria Australia is one of the best if not the best stretch of road for a panoramic road trip in the world. Traveling the road from Torquay to the 12 apostles at the very least is a must and should be on everyone's bucket list. I had the opportunity ride in on a victory judge hired from the the moto god which was easier then riding my bike to Vic. The owner seemed like a great guy. Make sure you ride the road at least once in your life and if it easier to hire a bike than ride there to do the trip you can't go past hiring a bike in Torquay.
