wangaratta visitor information centre exhibition

Having just moved to Wangaratta we are still finding out new things about the town and attractions/activities. I popped in and grabbed a few brochures and started chatting with the lady working. She offered me a relocation pack which is full of maps, bus routes, residents guide, electoral roll forms, monthly guides and market guides just to name a few. I have visited the centre a variety of times whilst passing through and visiting family. There are always interesting displays showcasing the local history and produce. The bathroom is always clean and tidy. They also have power points and a table available to charge electronics for free. The centre's website is fantastic and has a wealth of information for both residents and visitors.

Great customer service as staff went out of their way to look after us past closing time, much appreciated. Thanks.They took as through several tastings of the local Topaque (Tokay) and then offered accommodation suggestions before booking us into a truly amazing venue.We appreciated the time the staff spent with us.

The information centre provides a guide for a free tour of the town pointing out some of the history and highlights of the town that tourists might otherwise miss. Check the centre which is located in the main street for times. We enjoyed it - thanks.

Called in to ask about accommodation where a very enthusiastic lade explained the various option without favouring any one in particular.She also handed me printed information that set out various attractions and places to eat.A credit to the town.

Run by volunteers, the Wangaratta Centre Exhibition has a fantastic display of Australiana, the story of Ned Kelly and period costumes. Spent a good couple of hours there.

Only had a day to explore the beautiful King Valley. Popped in to get the ducks guts and found an extremely helpful and delightful lady. She pointed us in the right direction to get the most out of our day. Thank you.

Very good selection of information on the whole region and staff had good local knowledge when tested. Well worth a drop in.

Even though I'm a local I have visited this place many times - for information and gifts, wine, tea towels , cute little native toy birds that make singing noises - it's pleasant and has lots to browse through, including local displays. The prices are all good too.

The staff were very helpful,and they way the centre was set out it was easy to seek the brochures we need for our visit and trips around Wangaratta.
