We went here as part of a wine tour, first stop for the day. The wines were excellent, not a bad one in the bunch. They have a reasonably wide range of whites and reds as well as a very excellent late harvested chardonnay. Try the "Goerge" and they also have a Pink Lady Apple Cider.
I had a wonderful time here, tasting great wines and receiving very helpful tips for my further explorations. I'm very happy to have taken away some of the delicious cider and Cabernet Sav. which I enjoyed 2 weeks later. Generous, friendly, welcoming - I'll be back!
Stopped by wth a group of 12 as part f a winery day I organised last saturday. No-one had been there before and loved the country feel and ambience of this small family run winery. Staff were fabulous and knowledgeable. Lovely wines and cider. They encourage people to bring their own picnics to have on their lawn which is great for families. Will definitely go back.
It's a must visit on the yarra valley wine tour!! 10 tastings, all excellent!! We had a wonderful time and the staff was so nice and educational.
One of my favourites. The George Cab Sav and the late harvest Chardonnay are awesome, then there is the delicious syder. But most of all it is friendly, warm and rustic. I love the vintage furniture and the friendly dog that was there
Went here for wine tasting on a Sunday, late in the morning. Hospitality was fantastic - really good fun. Beautiful setting and generous helpings of wine - ended up leaving with a full boot! Not the place to come for coffee and food...just for great wine in the vines!
Perfect if you are looking for something a little different in the Yarra Valley region – Small “rustic” setup with lovely welcoming staff. Sampling the wines there is a different experience as you can try their wines though several different vintages. I personally wasn’t overly impressed with the wines, however the experience made it worth the while. Also if you are a cider drinker (or just want a break from wine tastings) they also produce a range there – definitely worth trying out
Been in Melbourne 5days this is my favourite place so far! ALL the wine we tasted was awesome and then we asked about the Rose mmmm! Decor is devine! Very homely. Views awazing as was our gorgeous down 2 earth hostess! The best came 1st on this wine tour. Hope the pensioners dont drink all the Rose :)
We've been there to do the tasting and it was a lovely experience, with a very attentive lady explaining to us about the wines. We tasted pretty much everything they have and loved the white ones and pinot noir. It's also a very small and friendly place, cozy. We recommend!
We arrived here late in the day and were greeted by a young lady who was happy to serve us and who knew a lot aobut what she was doing. It was a pleasure to taste wines that seemed to have been made with care and were closer to their type than many of the larger and more "commercial" wineries in the Valley. True, the access road is less than a flat top highway and one could imagine there may be times when there may be lots of busloads there but our experience was relaxed and enjoyable, as were the wines presented.
We called by here on a friday afternoon and there was nothing happening. Its a bustling place on the weekends, but there isnt much atsmosphere here on weekdays. The shop front holds the usaul local produce that the other wineries all have but nothing out of the ordinary.
After spending a day sightseeing around the Yarra Valley we were heading back to our accommodation when we came across this lovely little vineyard. This family owned estate was very rustic and full of character and the staff where very friendly. What was going to be a short stop tasting a couple of wines ended up a 2hour stay nibbling on a tasting plate , sipping their excellent wines and enjoying the magnificent view.
Plenty to see and choose from here, apart from the wines there are many things for sale including local produce, the wine tasting is super, staff were happy the setting is suitable for a movie,
