Great tour by Ray on our second visit. Brought the father in law with us this time and he had a blast.
We are a family of 2 Adults 3 Children ( 14,11,8) there was plenty to see, lots to learn ..Fun to be had by all ..Great afternoon, liceneced... Very Friendly ..
Well this was part of the heritage pass that we purchased and it was last on my list to go and see. After the visit I came away feeling absolutely amazed. Neil the owner and guide has such a passion about his marvelous collection of everything. I would say if you come anywhere near this area you would have to put it on your must do list.
This venue was recommended. Though not really a 'beer drinker' I was a little apprehensive at first about going there. What a pleasant surprise! About so much more than beer. At first glance the outside looks pretty run down, and the old machinery on display has not been well cared for. Failing to see at first what was really on offer until I went into the main 'Museum' OMG what an eye opener. You even have a tour from the very knowledgeable and funny owner Neil Thomas. SO worth a visit if you are in the area. Neil even raises money for charity with a 'Chocolate Wheel' where everyone wins. something
Fantastic experience. Entertained by the host, discussing ECHUCA, old farm machinery and old day life. Very funny time. Great cold beer and terrific place for kids to learn about old machinery and war memorabilia. Fantastic collection of beer cans and collectables. Great pricing and friendly atmosphere.
We were met at the front of the Great Beer shed with a Aussie welcome from a man named Ray. He took us in and explained a little about the shed for a start and then sent us in the direction we needed to go. When we returned he gave us a very informative introduction to the main shed where all types of beer can were from all over the world and Australia. Well worth the visit and a place that every Aussie bloke to see. Thanks Ray nice to have met you. Gavin & Julie.(Bega)
Came here for a break after a long day of fishing. It was amazing. Some good local beers, nice and cold, excellent service and good pricing. Perfect.
We spent a good few hours looking at the extensive collection of beer memorabilia in this museum! Staff were all excellent (especially Neil, the collector himself!). We really enjoyed it - so much history and enthusiasm to soak in! Would recommend to all. Thanks again! Carl & Annie
Fascinating personal collection! Reminded us of so much that our grandparents had that we never thought much of and now it's collectible . My son who is 4 enjoyed it, and that made it better for us. Very interesting and strongly recommend a visit !!
From the warm welcome to the tour highlighting the history of some items, this place is a bit of light hearted entertainment and a credit to Neil and Andrea. You cant help but be swept along by Neil's enthusiasm for a 39 year love of beer and all things related to it. Particularly was interested in the story of the WW1 commemmorative coin given to families of soldiers who didnt returrn..Neil knows his history and is a great character and this place should be on your list of things to do when visiting Echuca...great for people of all ages with even old trikes that little ones can ride on.. Recommend visiting for a fun hour or two...
Take no notice of the 2 or 3 comments from the dipsticks mate. We are from WA and tell all our friends headed your way, this is a MUST SEE. Regards, Bazz & Shirl.
Im ten so at first I thought it would be boring but the things they sell, the attractions and the tour turned out to be hilarious and awesome. Niel the instructor was very funny. This trip to the beer shed was definitely a high light of my trip to Echuca!
Fun and suitable for all ages! We had a group of 10 aged 10 - 47 and everyone had a laugh and learnt lots about our Aussie heritage!
I have had the pleasure of visiting this great Aussie attraction on 3 occasions, the last being late November 2014. Neil has a great sense of humour & is brilliant with children. I have even been able to give Neil a few beer cans that he did not have, on our next visit I have more to give him. Over the more recent years their display has grown to now include old farm equipment. A large function room has been built along with on site accommodation.
A huge thankyou to Neil and his lovely wife Andrea. From the moment we stepped out of the car we were welcomed with good old fashioned and GENUINE country hospitality. This attraction is a MUST SEE for every visitor to Echuca. I originally thought my children would be bored and unappreciative and yet when we left they asked if we could go back and visit again. Absolutely. Forget about the trashy service and reception you get at the Echuca Port Authority you will definitely not see it here.THANKYOU NEIL and ANDREA
