The Bendigo Discovery Centre may not be as large as Questacon in Canberra, but in many ways this is an asset. The smaller size makes each display accessible. The displays themselves are excellent, each clearly demonstrating a scientific principle. The staff are friendly and helpful. Our six year old certainly had fun and, though I have a science degree, so did I!

What a great place for young and old, would love to hook into the science show and planitaruim next time. Our 4 year old had a ball discovering so many things , and it was great hands on stuff. Great little gift shop too, some great interesting gifts could be bought from here!!

It was definitely not very pricey for the 3 of us to get into. There were a lot of things to do. The shop was full of cool gift ideas. My daughter and husband did the vertical slide, it was definitely an experience they would recommend it to the thrill seekers.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your Discovery visit was disappointing. We are currently addressing show delivery and the overall experience of the centre during school terms and are always striving to make improvements where possible. During the school holidays we run specifically themed planetarium and science shows, plus extra activities which are run by our volunteers. These school holidays (26 Dec to 26 Jan 2015) our theme is ‘Electricity’. There is a hive of activity during this time! Thank you again, and we will look further into your complaint.

What a great hands on experiance for all ages. The slide was excellent as with the dozens of hands on scientific and geek presentations. Looking forward to my third visit.

Visited in Sept school holidays, both my boys ( aged 8 & 10 ) thought it was fantastic. We easily spent 3 hrs inside experimenting with all the hands on stuff. Highlight was the vertical drop slide ( include in entry fee ) , which was too scary for me, but dad & boys overcame their fear and kept going back for more. recommend this place to young and old.

The shows were very informative and the kids get a chance to explore and experiment with many ideas and concepts.

Great place to bring the kids when they are bored, can be a little hot in summer but besides that fantastic!

Very educational and fun for our child who is 7. We enjoyed the service and learning about science. Great day out.

I loved how they didn't charge admission to the planetarium. Its good for primary aged or younger children. A nice little shop to buy scientific interests for kids. A few of the displays didn't work or needed fixing. Overall great!

I took my 12 year old Grand-daughter and her friend here and they had a ball - I couldn't get them out they were having so much fun. Definatly worth a visit for Grannies to have fun with the grandchildren!

Interested in science? Do you have children with enquiring minds? Are you in Bendigo? If so, then visit this place. It's the sort of place one might expect in a much larger city, but there is one in Bendigo too. It's in a wonderful old building right next to the Bendigo train station. Great for children to wander around, ask question, push buttons, explore scientific ideas. A small shop is there too.

Fantastic place for the kids, a huge harehouse - everything is interactive - great for adults too. Right next to station and large shopping centre
