lorne aquatic and angling club

We became members of this historic little local club to support the community as we are semi locals of this fishing village. It's $30 for a family yearly membership and you can come here on Friday or sat evening for a drink with one of the best views of Lorne, right next to the Pier overlooking Loutit bay and at night you see all the lights sparkling in the distance. The atmosphere is vibrant dinkum Aussie, you can see the local tradies mixing with the lawyers and doctors etc... Beers are $3 limited range, Chardonnay and Sauvignon blanc available. There's a raffle on sat night and you can win a meat tray! Cheap beers on tues and wed nights, "toss the boss" for a drink round (if you win the toss, free drinks) hahaha...in summer we walk down in the late afternoon after the beach and introduce our friends to this little gem. Plenty of parking in the fish coop car park. It's informal quintessential Australian and we love it!!

This is by far the best place to celebrate your Pier to Pub swim! It's the club with the best view in Lorne, fantastic atmosphere, cheapest drinks, BBQ and often a live band on the busier days. A terrific place to catch up with your friends. And there's even a courtesy bus home! We have spent many afternoons, stretching into the evenings, at this great venue. Can't believe it is under threat from a new foreshore development plan! The members and many guests do an amazing job fundraising for local clubs and worthy causes. Leave it where it is!
