Found this lovely aqua stretch of beach by chance, the gorgeous water and flat beach looks perfect for families with a cool tree lined car park. A local favourite.

One of my favourite places to go when in Busselton. Beautiful sand, clear water and very picturesque. Love it.

Great spot to take little people to the beach. Plenty of shady trees or beach to sit and watch the beautiful blue water. Great spot for kayaking or a snorkel. Can hire paddle boards or kayaks there from commercial business. BBQ's, grass- great spot for a picnic.

Have visited this beach a few times now but late December 2014 saw us there with family and 4 grandchildren raging in age from 2 to 9 years. Great family beach with access to toilets and showers. Some rocky areas to explore with lovely warm puddles to paddle in. Can hire kayaks and peddle boats and still be in shallow water. Grassy area with the shade of trees. If taking children a pop up beach shelter would be useful to give some shade. Played beach cricket. One family member swore she saw a snake so be careful around the trees and grassy area. Car parking spaces close to the beach. I seem to remember a small supermarket close to the beach, though did not go in.

We liked the place too much. The weather was fantastic. It was sunny and little bit windy. Although there were many tourists, the beach seems quiet and heavenly. There are barbecue places. The waves are not too high, its gentle and perfect for swimming with kids. We enjoyed a lot. Perfect place for picnic, family get together.

A stunning location, great for swimming and gorgeous clean white sand. Good parking and you can find so many beautiful secluded little spots along the beach where can be alone if you so choose. One of the most beautiful beaches and great for families as well.

Meelup beach was not only picture perfect, the expanse of beautiful beach was also amazingly quiet, the perfect blue water was calm with shoals of tiny glass green fish leaping out of the water (so tiny you had to peer very carefully to see them), the odd small stingray type fish and the sound of the water lapping beautifully against the odd small boat anchored off-shore.......oh how I miss it!!The practical side was that the very clean sands and the gentle sloping shoreline making this a safe escape with our two small grandchildren.......we will go back!!

This beach is just picture postcard perfect. The golden sands and crystal blue shades of water just make it perfect. The water is so calm and tranquil. Lovely location and tranquil and quiet.

This is the best beach in the SW region. It is protected from the wind and doesn't have huge waves. There is a grassed area for picnics and plenty of shade also.

Breathtaking view, crystal clear water .....wish I'd found it years ago got to be one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever visited

If you love white sand and protected crystal clear water then this is the place for you.Meelup Beach is a safe beach for kids and adults and you can either sit on beach or under the trees.Take a picnic as nothing really for sale there.

Meelup beach speaks for itself. It's made even better with Mr Wicked, an ice cream van with the best sno-cones. Great place for a barby too

Lots of grass area, protected swimming. Magical place :) water is perfect for swimming. Few vendors to grab a drink and a ice-cream. You can hire stand up paddle boards.

What's not to like?? Sit under the shade of the peppie trees or sit on the beach. Go for a swim, or do a rock walk on the rocks, have a picnic, have an icecream...it's all good.
