We stopped here for lunch the food was amazing, one of the best meals I've had on this holiday. The gardens are absolutely stunning, Lawrance Winery has a great atmosphere.
Went to Laurance about 3 years ago but wasn't impressed with their wines but have always loved the actual ambience of the place. However this time their champers and rose won me over. I recommend everyone goes to Laurance for the building, the art and the beautiful gardens and the wine as well now.
Spent a great couple of hours there tasting wines and had a superb lunch (cheese platter and meat platter). Calm and beautiful outdoor sitting area, large estate, great art displays.
Ha........I loved your short, sweet and fabulous review of my Cellar. Thank you so much. A little story I would like to share with you about my beautiful wine bottles. My bottles have always receive stringing reviews from wine critics ie I won't drink wine out of that bottle no matter how good the wine is......or........why would you put good wine in ten pin bowling pins etc etc. The fact is customers actually keep the empty bottles for many uses as they are just too pretty to throw out. Water and oil bottles and vases are just a few of the uses. The screen print will never rub off so my website is there forever when more wine is needed to be ordered.I sell the empty bottles at my Cellar so we don't have to throw any away.......my little bit for the environment!!The benefits far outweigh a few little negative remarks. Many thanksDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
Don't you just hate spell check sometimes. I presume your "as pea ill memory" was meant to be "a pleasant memory". After sending a very "R" rated email because of spell check I am now extra cautious of the problems it can cause. LOL!!!!Anyways so happy you enjoyed your experience at my Cellar. All my staff wear very proudly a badge that says "YES WE CAN" and they can or they will always give it their best shot at achieving the request.Thank you for your visit and your very kind words that are very much appreciated.Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
Next time you come to visit my Cellar grab a glass of wine and take the time to walk through the Rose Garden and smell the roses. I would suggest the Celebrations Champagne or Rose'. I just love doing this on a beautiful warm sunny day. Take the time to listen to the music that is piped through the whole garden and be at peace with the world for awhile. So good and nourishing for the soul. Ha.....the wine also helps!!!!!Thank you for your wonderful post. Very much appreciated.Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
Mmmmmmm............trying to think of a responsible and professional reply to your very angry post. After much discussion with all my staff who were very shaken by your vitriolic words and sheer anger we have all decided best not to respond.Dianne LauranceOwner & Founder
Well Holly we will certainly look forward to welcoming you back to Laurance on your next visit. We released our first Champagne "Celebrations" in December and it has become one our best sellers.I know I am suppose to call it a sparking (dam the French) as I have done on the bottle but between you and me if it is made like a champagne and looks like a champagne and tastes like a champagne well then it is a champagne. LOL!!!!!!! So pleased you enjoyed your experience at my Cellar.Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
I couldn't agree with you more about the bean bags. I spent last Saturday on them with a couple of girlfriends under the trees relaxing, having lunch and drinking copious amounts of our Celebrations Champagne. Mmmm........luckily we only had to walk next door to get home.So pleased you enjoyed the Laurance experience first time around and came back again.Thank you for all your kind words. My wonderful staff so appreciate when visitors take the time to let us know of their experience and how and if they can improve their service.Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
WOW.....makes my heart sing and puts a big smile on my face reading your wonderful post about my Cellar during your visit. From my GM and viticulturist Stu Dickens whose aim is to produce the best wines whilst being environmentally friendly, my Head Gardener Kale Roberts absolute love for every blade of grass and flower petal, Head Chef Ben Beaton whose skills in the kitchen are unquestionable and Cellar Manager my perfectionist Mikiah nothing is left to chance to give all our guests a wonderful experience on their visit. Nicky was the little Irish lass who entertained you on the day. She is an absolute gem and another star performer at Laurance. As she tells me very often when I congratulate her on all the posts she receives when you love the product it is so easy to sell and have fun with. I know her favouite is the Celebrations Champagne and she sells heaps. Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
I just love my Rose garden too. Many a bottle of wine has been enjoyed amongst the petalls!!!!! I designed it with peace, tranquility but most of all happiness in mind. To see it now with children laughing and playing amongst the roses and deliriously happy brides walking towards their future husband and family and friends it has become a reality.Head gardener Kale Roberts and his team tender the grounds and gardens with total love and guardian ownership. I don't think anything looks better or smells better than freshly cut roses in your home. Thanks you for your wonderful post.Warm regardsDianne Laurance
Right from the very concept Laurance Cellar was going to be family friendly. Every detail on what was needed to make families feel welcome was discussed and actioned. Our busiest times are during school holidays so that means kids......a very simple equation!!!! My head gardener Kale Roberts who lives on the private property has been with me since buying the vineyard back in 2001. He is so dedicated and it shows in the overwhelming beauty and serenity of the Laurance gardens. Thank you for all your very kind and valued words.Warm regardsDianne Laurance
Nicky, Nicky Nicky......she is a little champion. She loves our wines so explains to me it is such an easy sell for her. Her enthusiasm for life and Laurance is second to none. She is a very valued member of the LAURANCE Team. Thank you so much for your lovely words. I can't say enough about my wonderful staff. We have been so busy over the school holidays and yet my staff turn on their best every single day. Many thanks for your post.Warm regardsDianne Laurance
I am so pleased your friend recommended you visit us and you had a great experience. I have to say I have the best staff. From the gardeners who make the gardens so beautiful to the kitchen guys who are so dedicated and to the front of house Cellar staff whose work motto is "yes I can" I feel very blessed to have them with me. A couple of ideas so you don't throw out those beautiful Laurance bottles use them for water bottles, oil bottles with a pourer in the top and just throw a couple of flowers in for a very simple vase. Buy online when you need more wine or email sales@laurancewines.com if more convenient.Love to see you again at the Cellar over the wonderful Summer months.Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
Must admit the kids trays are very tempting with that fresh house baked brownie. Chef Ben now has a special couple of desserts each day when he has the time to prepare them. The coffee thing has always been an issue and sorry but I have to stick to my guns on this one. I absolutely hate walking into a Cellar Door to try their wines and all you can smell is the coffee. When I opened the doors of Laurance Cellar back in 2006 I decided then we would only serve a very simple menu using only the best fresh local produce to enjoy with our wines. Never coffee. However on our really busy weeks and long weekends we do have a coffee van on the lawn serving great take away coffees. I also have Simmos Icecream cart at these times. The food coming out of the kitchen takes a little longer so a coffee or Icecream usually fills in the gap.Thank you for your post.Warm regardsDianne LauranceOwner & Founder
