We completed a full day tour ex- Tom Price. Our pick up point was ECO retreat at Karijini National Park. Our guide, Lisa was brilliant, with an exceptional knowledge of the local area including all the gorges, with too many to name.A top lunch provided ( Thanks Tom price Hotel/Pub), and a stubby cooler...yep yep.Totally recommend, I have not been on a better Aussie tour...you better hang onto that guide...Note: There are a lot of climbs both up and down, but it is REALLY worth it!

If you are gorge-fatigued apres visiting Central and Northern Australia ,which house so many impressive red-walled gorges. Then, get ready to be wowed by the extraordinarily deep and narrow gorges full of waterfalls,swimming pools and challenging walks. this park sits within the heart of one of the world's most ancient landscapes,the Hamersley Plateau. Our tour did not disappoint in charting a comfortable encounter with creeks that had carved 1000 m-deep chasms into layers of 2500-million-year-old sedimentary rock.. Absolutely magnificent .Our group, led by intrepid guides were excellent mentors,expertly pointing out the uniqueness and raw beauty of these acres We entered the park from the plateau and descended into the gorges with some incredible lookouts,like Oxers,where four gorges met below amongst the Golden Spinifex and crooked white snappy gums scattered through the wonderful ochre. I now appreciate more, the paintings that are hauntingly beautiful in the galleries we visited. The history of the traditional owners,and the geology of the park is brilliantly explained at the visitor centre. Congrats to the tour company,particularly the team that fielded this wonderful day tour,with charm,great humour and wonderful intimacy of this glorious part of the continent. Do bring your swimmers.The dips are so cooling and good for your soul.

You will feel the pain on this trip but its all worth it, Just becarefull with ya kids and look out for the big snakes and gully monsters

Cosa c’è di peggio che spendere molti soldi per un tour organizzato e trovare, nella migliore stagione possibile, la peggiore giornata della storia della dry season (a detta della guida)? Siamo stati sfortunati, i posti sono sensazionali ma passeggiate, luoghi e scorci sono stati penalizzati dalla frequente pioggia battente, con il cielo coperto di nuvole molti angoli con cascate, gole e laghetti non avevano lo stesso effetto che ci saremmo aspettati, molto belli ma avremmo voluti vederli con una luce differente.Per muoversi all’interno del Karijni servirebbe un 4WD anche se alcuni affrontano le strade terrose pure con auto normali, proibitivo farlo con un camper.Il tour è ben organizzato, costa 155 AUD se prenoti prima, ti vengono a prendere con il bus al punto prestabilito al mattino presto, la strada è lunga ed i punti di interesse sono molti quindi spesso non ci si può soffermare più di tanto, a dire il vero non abbiamo fatto nulla in fretta ma se ci fosse stato un bel sole magari in qualche luogo ci saremmo addentrati, e non so se ce l’avrebbero concesso visti i tempi. Il pranzo al sacco è fornito dagli organizzatori, si ritorna verso il tramonto ed a noi, non per colpa loro ma per via del maltempo, ci è rimasta un po’ di curiosità.
