Just the most beautiful beach. It is so lovely, plenty of places to swim and great fishing. Fantastic.
We drove down onto the beach to watch people fish, mainly catching herring the day we were there. Quite windy & cold so we decided to see what else Peaceful Bay had to offer. A large shady caravan park & then we found the residential area filled with cute cottages, lined up very closes to one another & surrounded by green grass. Many of the cottages - shacks were painted bright colours & most were adorned with very clever name plaques. Some had recent makeovers but it was really interesting driving up & down the gravel laneways. We can only imagine how much fun the residents would have when everyone was in town!!! A great little place that reminds us, the simple things in life are the best.
Bush/beach setting. pleasant, helpful hosts, good fishing, clean amenities but old. Recommend for the park and it's surrounds.
We stopped by Peaceful Bay while going to Denmark. It was a surprise and lucky we didn't miss this great place. The Peaceful Bay is a nice beach for swimming. The Seafood Cafe (just expanded recently I think) from the Caravan Park is just awesome - providing local catches. Do not expect a full menu but just the fish and chips are good enough. And they have the introduction of different local common fishes. (refer to Peaceful Bay Caravan Park for more reviews on this cafe). Along the Peaceful Bay Road, there's a marron sales that you can buy some fresh live marron. It would be good if you like marron and you have the facility to cook at your accommodation.
I think Peaceful Bay is a must-stop destination for the seafood cafe. A local family catches the fish and they provide the freshest and tastiest lunches and dinners. I went back three times. There are several tables in the cafe that overlook the ocean - just fantastic. We thought this place provided the best food and friendliest service of our whole holiday.
Beautiful part of the south west. Protected beach from the powerful waves, good for swimming, fishing or kayaking. Pity the water is so cold, straight from the Antarctic! The sand is naturally hardly compacted, so you can drive your car on the beach and along the bay.And while you're there, do go to the caravan park cafe and get a fish and chips. Not cheap but top quality local fish, not one of those frozen fillets from unknown origin.
One of my favorite beaches in the southwest. I wouldn't swim here but the sand is white and clean, the water is beautiful, especially when the sun is shining, and the air is just so clear. There is no shade on the beach, so take your own. Toilets aren't the most pleasant but thats ok because the beach is so good. For the best experience, go when the sun is shining but it doesn't need to be a hot day.
Peaceful Bay is aptly named. Although we visited over the Christmas period and the beach was busy, it was still a beautiful spot
Lovely beach walk, crystal clear but icy cold sea. Go prepared with fly net and anti fly spray and the flies will spoil the experience
As its title - a great place to take the family especially with small children. Not much to do except swim and fish.
The caravan Park Café at Peaceful Bay sells the best Fish and Chips that I have ever tasted. They actually catch their own fish and the batter is so light and crisp. The chips are bloody good too.
Imagine living in this delightful, undiscovered spot. The beaches are divine and the whole (small) community seems so friendly and helpful. We spotted a number of kangaroos. It can be a bit windy!
Peaceful Bay, 30Km east of Walpole and is one of those amazing spots that you could easily miss. As a tourist, the best way to explore this exceptional coastline is take your time and make the effort to check out those side trips that offer wonderful surprises. On arrival at the Peaceful Bay Sea & Rescue House we still didn’t see the actual bay, until we reached the steps leading down to the beach. It was then an Ahaaaa moment and so perfectly named. I couldn’t believe the beauty and snapped crazily. However the photos don’t do it justice, but it is etched in my mind. The water is the bluest. The sand that soft white sand that kids must bawl their eyes out when they have to go home. The breeze didn’t entice me to swim, but I couldn’t take my eyes off this gorgeous little beach and I could see myself curled up in a hut somewhere for a month with books, food, drink, no phone and lots of walking time. Across the road is the Flag Hill Lookout which gives an overall view of the area. For further info and more photos check out: http://www.rainbowcoast.com.au/areas/denmark/peacefulbay.htm
it was a good relaxing day at peaceful bay before the wind and cold came in otherwise it was a good day
Easy access to a white sandy beach, very pretty, but serious surf when I was there so wouldn't recommend swimming. Nice place to appreciate sea air and sunshine.
