We started our day tour with the Visitor Centre and I must say that the lady at the counter was more than helpful. She gave us maps and heaps of information about the sights of Esperance. This is really customer services at a top level and I thank them for being wonderful to my family. Visitors to Esperance please start your tour with the Visitor Centre and you will know why I am praising the Centre and the staff.
Best visitor centre I have been to. Got all the information and more - in a courteous and professional manner. Keep going like that!
Plenty of information and free maps, helpful staff all located in a heritage building in the centre of town. Well sign posted and easy to find. Souvenirs for sale as well. Information outside on the walls if you're there after closing time.
Nicely located and well presented, surrounded well restored historical buildings with various attractions inside. Easy to find on the main road to the town centre. Lots of information and some good tips about the main attractions around Esperance. Park entry tickets can be purchased there, which can be handy if you do not have the exact cash (Seniors half price entry to the parks)
There is much to see and many souvenirs to buy at the visitor Centre. All of the staff of the various establishments were friendly and helpful. The buildings are old landmarks relocated and renovated, including the old hospital, doctors houseand surgery and the Salmon Gums School. Worth a visit.
The tourist info centre make a big point if telling you that Pink Lake hasn't been pink for 9 years but it's very disappointing they don't bother to mention that Lake Warden, which is less than a 5 min drive from Pink Lake is the most amazing shade of Pink and we'll worth a visit to see such a vast Pink lake. Sure it's not called Pink Lake line the one next to it, but it's much better and is actually PINK!
I rocked up today as we only have 1 day in Esp. The older woman at the visitor centre gave me maps, brochures, prices and the most comprehensive plan on how to get the most of my 1 1/2 days here! Thanks
We popped in hoping to get some local information regarding the national parks and other sights in the area, but were handed a brochure of Esperance (which we were also given at our caravan park where we were staying) without much else! We found the pamphlets and brochures at our accomodation more useful, and if you're looking for souvenirs then head to the local Sunday markets instead. A plus was the colouring in table that kept our toddler entertained for a while
This is a must for getting information on the area. The ladies are very helpful and friendly. They booked my bus trip back to Perth and I believe they do other travel and accommodation bookings. In fact even though I live in WA the first place I hit in any town is the visitor centres. In Newman I was told about where to find aboriginal rock painting - this was not marked on any map I had and the road was not signposted. I think they are run by volunteers. They are always friendly and always have a mine of knowledge on their districts
Called in on the off chance we could get some local info. Boy, did we ever! The lady behind the counter knew what she was talking about, and pointed us in all the right directions. Almost in to information overload. The centre is in an historical part of Esperance, so even being their is interesting in itself. So very helpful.
Go there for town of Esperance map and info about activities round town, including booking for excursions
Gave good directions and very helpful. Helped in planning the Esperance trip. The maps were accurate than GPS.
Friendly staff will always assist you in all the visitor centres you encounter throughout the country.A valuable stop for all your maps, souvenirs, local art, crafts and information needs on sights and attractions within the area.
Very friendly staff when we went there, lots of local and state information. Prices of the articles they sell are not bad either.
We stopped in to see what there is to do in Esperance as a lot of things were closed. The staff were very helpful and always smiling. The centre was small but had plenty of information to keep us busy for 2-3 days.
