If your traveling ruta del sol, ruta del spondylus in north manabi you cant miss this place. Its much more then a dry forest. its where a tropical coastal dry forest meets a humid forest. brings in own unique flora and fauna. great for a pit stop up or down the coast

The reserve is situated 25 Km south of Pedernales. The road is good and in the own vehicle is only half an hour drive from Pedernales. By paying a small entry fee it is possible to visit the reserve with a biologist guide. The guide makes a briefing in the small museum by talking about the plants and animals living in the reserve. After the briefing there is a tour in the forest. The guide will show the reforestation process by planting a couple of new plants and he will show the more interesting plants. The best of the reserve is the howling monkey but we could not see any. As the guide explained to us, the monkeys went back in the deepest part of the forest as consequence of this month strong rains but he guarantees that usually visitors can see them . We could see many beautiful butterflies and some bird species. If you are interested in taking lunch, you should make previous reservation.

es muy maravilloso el lugar donde pude pasar muchos dos dias pero si me gusot todo los k nos brindaron la comida la atencion todo

Es un bosque en reforestacion, cuidado por un grupo de chicos guias en turismo. El lugar es precioso pero sirve si no van con alguien que les explique y que vaya asegurando el camino.
