isla de banos horse riding

I had not been horseriding since I was a little child so it was great to see the Ecuadorian countryside at my own pace with 2 local guides who showed us the tamarind trees, the cactus fruit and local glasshouses. We had a tasty lunch prepared by Isla de Banos and enjoyed the company of Pablo and his puppy Gringa who also rode on the horse.I was still sore from mountaineering 2 days before to break into anything faster than a trot. My horse Dulche was 5 months pregnant and together we went at a good slow pace, while the others who wanted to go faster could aswell. The ride included transport, food, guides for half day starting at 9.30am and returning about 2.30pm for $30US each (Dec06). The expedition would have been even better if we were fluent in Spanish which is our own limitation.

Sí hacen cabalgata estas pueden ser de 2 ó 4 horas teniendo diferentes rutas dependiendo del tiempo en el cua uds alquilen los caballos. El valor es de 15 dólares las 2 hrs y de 25 dólares las 4 horas, siempre regateen ya que siempre se consigue una rebaja.Traten de hacer todas las actividades que ofrece esta bella ciudad ya que son extraordinarias y a un precio muy conveniente!!!
