Great place to enjoy natural beauty of Boyaca. Would reccomend wearing good hiking shoes as the walk to see all five lakes is downhill on rock path so return is all uphill.

have to pay admission and walk up and down a huge hill but its worth it. beautiful pools and scenery with horses all around

Its nice to go for a walk in a sunny day and see the 3 different lakes, nice area for photos and realixing for a little bit but know that you cannot swim in them.

If you're looking for a little exercise walk to Pozos Azules instead of renting an ATV. You have to pay a guy at the entrance but it's not much. You can walk around the three lakes. Nice rocks if you're into collecting them. Not a lot to do in Villa de Leyva so this was interesting.

tbh is isn't that far from town, but you will need a car/taxi/horse/quadbike to get there. Entrance fee is around 3000 pesos I think, and you cannot swim in the water! Go early morning or late afternoon, not much shade between ponds so it can get hot. It's a good photo op, I think there are 3/4 ponds to see but once you have seen one pond then the others are the same really.

You have to pay to get in to the park, not too much about $10,000COP. Its nice to go for a walk around if the weather is good, otherwise not worth the visit. Would not return a second time.

it's a very beautiful sight for the eyes... Color is natural from the different minerals... A good place to relax a while, take some pics and enjoy the silence... Don't expect a long time in the contemplation or a busy place full of attractions...

We walked out to Pozos Azules (approx 40 mins) and whilst it wasn't breathtaking, it was a great way to spend a sunny morning in Villa de Leyva. The water was a deep blue colour and there were some good places to sit and relax in the sun.

Pretty place with a nice view over the water wells. It might work well for some pictures, but beside it nothing special.

If you are into sciences and natural wonders them you will enjor the lakes. I recommended you get to the lakes via horseback ride. We horseback ride all the way through and was the best horseback ride I ever had. Make sure to take pictures.

too a tour to the desert area and stopped at pozo azul. You pay 3 colombian pesos to see a swimming hole .

If you are looking for a pleasant walk outside of town, get directions from your hotel to the Pozos Azules, and enjoy the sunshine and the countryside along the way. Take water with you as there is nothing there except the lovely views and if you are interested in rocks, lots of layered multi-colored sediments to see. Not worth paying for a guide or a tour, it's the walk that is the best part.

I was expecting a big lagoon of an astonishing color .... unfortunately, all what it is is three large "ponds" of an indefinite greenish color. The day before I visited, it rained heavily and apparently this affected the color of the water. Hopefully you have better luck :)

The lakes are an amazing color. I wanted to swim but unfortunately that isn't possible. These lakes are for viewing only. Amazing color is -- I was told -- due to the chemical composition. They support no flora or fauna. If one did jump in does your swimsuit dissolve?

It's a place to go and check the lakes, nothing more. If you enjoy long walks and nature sightseeings you may find it pleasant.
