El complejo es pequeño de visita rápida, se observa la estructura típica de casas coloniales españolas y muchos objetos pertenecientes a Simón Bolívar (libertador). The complex is very small so is very quickly, you can see the colonial structure tipic in those days and a lot of things related to the libertador (Simon Bolivar and family).
It is always a pleasure to go.This house has been maintained very well and it is a good way to feel and remember our heritage.
For us, Venezuelans, Simon Bolivar is the father of our country and an important figure for Latin America. Many Historians qualify Bolivar as one of the highest figures that ever lived in the world and coming to Caracas and not seeing this House is like going to Washington DC and not see the White House. If you appreciate History, this would be a wonderful place to visit.
This is an amazing place to understand an important part of the latinamerican culture. Simon Bolivar was born in Caracas - Venezuela and this was is house.. very interesting museum.
Excellent museum about Simon Bolivar who is one of the most important historical figures from South American history. Very interesting and well presented exhibits. The house next door was his family home as a child.
These 2 small museums are worth a look as you wander around the historical centre of Caracas. The display on the exhumation of Bolivar's remains is really quite appalling.
interesting place, one of the few original houses still standing in the center of Caracas - original pieces of art and personal items on display
If you are interested in Simon Bolivar, this is one you should see. A good compliment to visiting his mausoleum. The tour can take 20-30 minutes
after many visits to Caracas, I got to visit the center of town, it is a bit more restored and cleaner than the rest of the city, I visited the Bolivar Museum adjacent to the House where he was born that is closed due to restoration works, the place is interesting but bear in mind that all explanations are in Spanish.
Quite a beautiful place that allows you to know a little bit more about the old Caracas, the one right before the İndependence and home of Simon Bolivar, more than 200 yrs. ago ! Everything buildings and collections are amazingly well preserved !
Even though most of the decoration of the house are not the real that was used by Simon Bolivar, this house is suposse to be the place where He was born! You can have a glimpse of what the houses in Venezuela were made during the beginning of the past century. The House is located near the "Centro"or downtown. Near the Bolivar Square. Be very careful with your cameras, or watches. Don't bring any flashy jewelry there. We suggest you to take the subway to get there.
Is amazing to be inside the place where The Liberator was born. They have everything in there... beds, pictures, medals and there's the same tree used by Bolivar to study and read under. I think about this place every time.
Loved this charming little place. Well maintained and staff friendly and speak several languages. The history was very interesting for my kids.
It is important because Simon Bolivar was the libertator of many countries, very well known man , the house is okey, give it a try, not too exciting, unless you read something about this great man
It's free and open everyday except Mondays. The wealth may be dated but is still impressive.
