Tis is a nice beach, but it has limited structure. The sea is calm and warm but due to its location might be a bit dirty.
I am planning to retire to Natal, and this is where I want to live. Fun, beautiful, great waves . . .
I loved to walk the beachside taking photos and entering the water from time to time. The waves are very high so it is really just entering the water, no swimming.
The beach is cool, some small waver that you can catch in the 'jacaré' style. Good food on the tents on the sand, cold beer, it was just fine!
Hello guys! Well, actually the view is really beatiful. But that´s all... Once you realize that you´re going to be in a place where you won´t have any bar services, any decent restaurants, and evenmore, you´ll have to care about being robbed, what will be the point?I don´t recommend this place definetely!
A nice natural area but lacking any interpretation or facilities for visitors, and plagued by the noisy and filthy beachgoers.
Our apartment is 2 down from Morro do Careca. You can see it on any postcard. The beach is tranquil and the water is warm. There is a private island that you can get to by walking through the water, which is waist deep for a long ways. Natural coral reefs, which are spectacular. Close to the main tourist road for restaurants, gifts and shopping. Paradise!
One of the most known sights in Natal, this hill is great to look at while walking on the beach or diving in the water.
Nothing compared to 20 years ago - at night, full of prostitutes and suspect people
Morro do Careca beach was the first brazilian beach that I have visited - and it gave me a trailer of what a brazilian beach is! I loved strolling the coastline with samba music in the background. Watching the sunset with caipirinha was also a good experience. I joined the locals in doing capoiera in the beach early in the morning. The smiles of the locals were also priceless - language was never a barrier. Most of the activities are day-centered. Not much during the night.
If you like waves, tha´s a good spotIf you don´t like waves go close to Morro do Careca and enjoy. The beach has infrastructure to provide services.
Beautiful spot and a good place to hang out in the late afternoon. Swimming is ok in the bay area, further away beware of under water currents.
It´s a good beach to go and stay hours enjoying the sea and the sellers passing by selling food to hats and glasses, getting a suntan, taking pictures of the "Morro do Careca" and having fun with friends. It´s also called "Ponta Negra" beach and it´s the nearest beach you can go if you´re staying in Natal. But when the tide is high, go back to your hotel because the dirt unpolite peolpe throw at the sand will expel you!
Great beach for a city. Clean, but a bit crowded. Disappointing not to be able to climb the "careca" dunes.
Lugar lindo... Pena que não podemos mais descer o skibunda do morro... Outro problema são os pedintes... Meu pai acabou com uma maço de cigarro de tanta gente que pediu um para ele... Mas ambiente agradável, lojinhas baratas, comida gostosa, etc
