Make sure the hotel packs a picnic lunch, not too many food vendors. Nice place to kayak and paddle board. Loved the calmness of this beach
I notice people were paying for umbrellas, chairs & little tables on Praia dos Ossos. It's not required. SImply go to one of the bars about the seawall & ask for an umbrella. If you agree to patronize them during the day for drinks, food etc they will comp you chairs, umbrellas & a little table. Of course, if you tip well you'll get a primo spot & service is first rate. We loved Ossos because it reminded us of a beach in Greece with the little fishing boats moored off the beach & the hill with cottages, b&b's etc off to the right. The sand is clean and the water warm & calm.
it´s not a place where you can find bones, but lot of energy, sun and a beautiful clean water; and, be4 you go, don´t you forget that: The world gives you much vodka!
Nice little beach with nice little houses right at the border. They say that pirates used to come and stay as a hideout. The whole area has a nice cozy flair with the little pathways leading around the trees and around the whole beach.
Close to hotels and restaurants but clean and with good access to the water. The water taxis leave from one end of the beach and boats are moored in the bay. Umbrellas and chairs for rent again - about 20 real a day. Lots to watch as you sit and enjoy the sun.
the beach is cosy and the water is very clean - but in the morning. The beach is not big , there are many boats. There is a water taxi going to other beaches from here. This placebis great to watch sunset
That's the place I was told Brigit Bardot used to come to sunbathe. You can have a look from a different perspective from a boat.
In the beginning, this was all. Praia dos Ossos (Bones Beach) has this name because this is supposedly where fisherman disposed of bones of the whales they caught. It is a small beach lined by walnut trees and old houses that preserve the essence of the old Búzios. The sand is thick and thin and the waters are calm. As a beach it is not the best in Búzios, but this is where it all began.
Baby beach in beautifully still cove with small sandy area and a couple of food and drink sellers with chairs and umbrellas to hire. A lot of small craft and water taxis moored up which clogs the water a bit. The sea is very calm and warm and a gentle slope from the beach so wonderful for swimming, just a shame about the diesel from the boats I guess.
This beach has a history about whales, people say that on distance past hunters/fisherman used to bring whales hunted to this beach and kill there, then use and sell the oil and meat, remaining on the beach only the bones of these poor animals. There's history and old houses from the slaves times, or of the slaves lords. Another strange history is that a brazilian famous socialite was murdered on her house on this beach. But there is a beautiful view from the beach, and is beautiful place to do snorkeling and to be on a sailboat just watching the sunset....
family beach and good vibes. water is clean and soft sands. u can just seat on an empty umbrella and the person in charge will come to collect his money before u leave. drinks are very reasonable
nice for a trip .just continue the street from buzios center up the hill and enjoy.nothing special but quiet and clean (off-season !!!)
Several places to have fun and relax on the beach. Very easy going city , with several restaurants , pubs and night clubs.
