is litle but very beautifull , is very near from the Urca beach . only pedestrians , you can go by car or bus .

Since it only opened to the public in the late 80s (87, I think), I hadn't been to the place until I started working within walking distance of it.It is one of the best free sight-seeings Rio has to offer.The only drawback is the marks with the lenght of the track, which overstate it, giving it twice its actual lenght, as I found out once I went there for a run.

A relatively short trekking on the footsteps of the sugar loaf and in the midst of luxuriant nature and wildlife, a perfect complement for your almost mandatory visit to the sugar loaf

If you are in Rio do not miss it! Perfect views of Rio and the Bay in a trail full of small monkeys and birds, besides the tourists, of course.Problem is to park the car, it is better to take a cab or maybe a bus(?). You can combine this visit with the SugarLoaf visit!

I loved strolling along this paved path. A great place to take in gorgeous views and stretch your legs. Highly recommend. Very peaceful and right next to a fun beach and Sugarloaf. A MUST for nature lovers.Take the path up to Morro da Urca, a terrific alternative to the gondolas when crowded or when you want to save a buck.

Great place to go and enjoy one of the most beautiful scenery in the city. Mixed crowd, safe, nice from sunrise to sunset (access is free, but they close the access during the night). From Zona Sul, catch bus 511 (BRS2) to Urca and get off at Praia Vermelha (same to visit the Sugar Loaf - Pao de Acucar).

Claudio Coutinho Trail takes you from Praia Vermelha to Morro da Urca: it is a paved, safe trail, where you enjoy nature: plants, birds, small monkeys and a wonderful view of the Atlantic Ocean. When yoiu reach the top, the view is breathtaking!

If you enjoy going for a run, do reserve the time to go there. The place is safe and offer great views. This track is right at the bottom of the sugar loaf mountain, and one can see small monkeys and birds right by the track.

Beautifull view and ambience. Lots of green and ocean. May see monkeys (micos). One of the best options for an "unstressing" walk and if you want more, can hike up Morro da Urca in about 25min.

A tarmaced trail the width of a road. Not quite the back to nature walk I was expecting but there plenty of fabulous little monkeys and some interesting birds to be seen.

Very pleasant walk may be connected with the trail up to Urca Mountain, which takes only 25 min. to the top.

Enjoy a walk in one the most beautiful neighborhoods in Rio. Nature an View! If you like hikng, you can go up to sugar loaf by a trail over there!

This trail is about two kilometres around Morro do Urca and very pleasant in the process. Worth it on its own for a pleasant stroll or jog. However, we went pass the trail end wall and started hiking the mountain, then climbing the mountain. After about 300 feet we could not work another path and while dangerous, was totally worth it! If one is otherwise interested to know.The actual clubs to Morro do Urca is bear the start of the trail and takes about 30 mins. Hard work but worth it. There is also a great vintage point off the path.So come out, get some exercise, enjoy!

Beautiful forest, long walk by the shore, lots of silvester animals and spectacular view of the Atlantic Ocean
