Our two families did our cooking class on the final night of our trip. Even though the kids were tired after our day's hike, we all really enjoyed the evening. Amandine was warm and welcoming, and very organised. We were given calafate sours (calafate juice for the kids) then we prepared centolla (king crab) chupe and raspberry tarts. Amandine had prepared for us a smoked salmon ceviche. It was a fun night, and the recipes were simple enough for the kids to do (with assistance) when we got home. Recommended activity for an entertaining evening.

Myself and my girlfriend really enjoyed the night we spent with amandine at her cooking class last December. The food and drinks were superb. Really tasty crab dish. Amandine speaks perfect english and was very friendly, knowledgeable and easy going. I felt that we helped prepare most of this dish which was in contrast to other cooking classes I'd done in the past where I'd only prepared a small part of the total meal. She also gave us great tips on where to eat in town for the rest of our stay. I'd definitely recommend this experience.

My husband is the anti cook he has ruin premade frozen dinners! So I was really excited to see him in an apron. We had so much fun. The cooking lesson was easy but we learned allot. Great cooking lesson and delicious food

The clidren loved it, very friendly and great food. Amandine concocted King Crab Chupe and fruits of the forest for us and allowed for a dairy and gluten free options as well. Thanks Amandine for a great time.

Absolutely lovely cooking course in well set out kitchen. Fresh produce from local area. Run by a lovely French lady who now lives in natales. Cooked king crab chupe, smoked samon cerviche & kuchen for dessert. She has an easy manner and even a cooking novice like me can follow. She speaks English, French & Spanish. A great experience

Cooking with Amandine was a great experience! Apart from learning how to cook chilean dishes we had the chance of tasting them in great company. Totally worth it!

I arrived in Puerto Natales a few days ahead of a planned trek. While wandering the streets, I happened upon Encuentro Gourmet. The owner Amandine is an informative, patient teacher and creative chef. Her French Basque background and her extensive knowledge about the foods and spices of Chile made the recipes we used really interesting. I fell in love with the spice Merken, a smokey chilli, aji cacho de cabra. I had such a wonderful time preparing and eating the first meal paired, of course, with Chilean wine that I signed up after my trek for another class. This time we made a lamb cazuela. What a great way to learn something new, while meeting others that share a passion for fine food and wine. Amandine provides on-line recipes from the classes, and I am planning on a dinner party here in Santa Fe to share with my friends these wonderful new dishes. Amandine's kitchen is the BEST!

Not only did we learn how to cook delicious food typical from Patagonia, but we also had a lot of fun with Amandine. She is a very knowledgeable chef, patient and interesting. She made us feel like cooking a King crab casserolle and raspberry pie is the easiest thing in the world and we are confident now that we can do it on our own. If you are in Puerto Natales with a spare day, don't hesitate and spend it with her! You'll have the time of your life and will eat finger-licking food! Enjoy! and Thank You Amandine!

Amandine was a lovely host, a great teacher. I had hiked and hiked, relaxed and read many books on my vacation. I had one last day in Puerto Natales and didn't know what to do. A cooking class was an excellent activity since I'm not a very experienced cook. Even better, I was the only student so I basically had a private lesson. She was very knowledgeable about local cuisine, and food in general. I just wish I had found her class earlier, I would have taken more classes!

I just love Encuentro Gourmet! It´s a great idea, a very creative and fun way to get closer to the Patagonian Culture. Amondine (the chef) is a great person, she makes you feel at home, willing to share her knowledge at any time. We learned to make "Chupe de Centolla" a traditional King Crab stew which was delicious! I really recommend this cooking workshop / dinner experience. Also, Encuentro Gourmet´s installations are brand new and very nice! It´s a fabulous place!!! :)

We did Amandine's King Crab course and really enjoyed it. The food was fresh and tasty and Amandine was terrific at explaining how to prepare it (in Spanish and English). We also learned how to make a fantastic baked fruit tart! It was lovely to finish a glass of wine over a conversation with Amandine at the end of the night too.

Unter sehr kompetenter und engagierter Leitung von Amandine haben wir gelernt Chupe de Centolla zuzubereiten. Es war ein sehr gemütlicher und interessanter Abend. Dieser Kochkurs ist sehr zu empfehlen!!!!

Recette de cuisine typiquement chilienne avec 1 ou 2 fines et subtiles modifications de la chef française Amandine pour un résultat sans fautes. Le cours était très riche et la dégustation délicieuse !! Comment faisait Puerto Natales avant Encuentro Gourmet ? De loin le meilleur complément du trek afin d'apercevoir une autre facette de cette superbe région.Allez-y et régalez-vous !!

Excellente soirée passée durant cet atelier de cuisine patagonienne. Le diner que nous avons préparé fut délicieux et facile à cuisiner. A recommander vivement!
