I visited Vina Santa Cruz during August 2013, this is a lovely boutique vineyard, just a few minutes from main Santa Cruz town. The hotel, the museums and the tour guides they have are outstanding.The wine is also wonderful.I highly recommend for you to go, it's about 2 hours from Santiago city.

They combine wine making with a set of native cultural fake environments and a funicular. It is the fairground attraction of the winneries. it has its attractives because the set up is very nice, specially at sun set, because they play with the hills inhouse and a nice setting of wineyards very well designed. As recognised by the guide, the investor wanted to obtain economic benefits from the show rather than the wines sold. Nice for the kids...

Beautifully located in a small valley, great vine and friendly visit to thei facility, they also have a car museum!!

We visited two wineries during our stay in Colchagua and apart from the views and the museum on the top of the hill above the main bulildning, this winery will not be remembered for their wine tasting.This winery is mostly set up for tourism, and was built in 2002. They do focus on producing a lot of wine, but mostly on quality. So If you are interested in visiting a genuine winery this is not the place to go. The guide was OK, but the tour and tasting session is very short. The museum and skylift is OK, but not worth paying 19 000 pesos pp for it all.
