From the minuet I walked into the agency I knew I wanted to do my jungle trip with max adventures! Teresa explained the trip and was so helpful - she and the other lady working there (so sorry forgot name) are really friendly and kind! They even allowed me to reschedule my trip when I became sick. They allow you to use there lockers, give you basic breakfast on the day before you leave, boots, long shirt, sleeping bag etc. As for the actual experience it was absolutely amazing. Ive been traveling for 4 months in South America and this is seriously one of the best things I've done! I think every trip will be unique and that's what's so special! I hiked, made a camp, helped make jewellery, learnt about plants used for medicine, ate fruits from the trees, went tubing down the river, swung from a tree vine + more! My guide was named Miguel and I will remember him forever I felt so safe with him an he is an amazing person actually born in the jungle! + food was good and I was never left hungry. Take the trip!
Had a really good time with max aventure ... Thanks to Marco&Jeremia , best experience ever ... Can't wait for the next one ...One love ...
I choosed max adventures after comparing the offers of some other companies, because they have the best jungle program for me (3 nights Trekking and Camping) and Thereza knows how to tell that. In my group was a couple from the Netherlands, our super nice cook Yanet and our Guide Gary. He knows EVERYTHINg about the jungle. It was amazing to see, how he can hear the animals out of all the other sounds in the jungle. We saw more animals than I expected: I had a big snake around my throught, we ran after some pigs, we saw monkeys and parrots, went for a night walk to see Tarantulas (he feeded them with a big bug and Coca!) and so on and so on. Beside that we ate some very delicious fruits out of the jungle (I prefer cacao fruit) and drank water out of a tree. We tried to catch some fishes one night, but unfortunatly we had no luck. But Yanet cooked everytime very delicious food, and that in the middle of the jungle!I have nothing to cpmplain and I would recommend to book a tour with maxadventures 100 percent. Have fun!
We booked the 3days pampa s tour with max jungle. The woman in the office, Teresa, explained everything very well in English and we could manage to get on a boat just with the five of us. Our guide Toto was also very funny and friendly. Everything we asked for he would like to dobit and even his English was ok. The accomodation is realky descent and the food is very good! We saw a lot of animals and went two times swimming with the dolphins. Even did a night trip and saw many alligators! Amazing! Thanks for everything.
I spent with my friends three amazing nights in the Max Jungle. To be honest, it was the most awesome experience in my life. Love the animals, nature, whole jungle so much. I saw such a beautiful view with shining stars in the sky. I want to go there again. The guide we had was so nice, well prepared for everything. I have to say, thank you for everything! MARTINA M
Amazing experience ever!!!! I would recommended to everyone who want to feel the spirit of the real jungle. I went to the jungle with my friends for 3 days. Tereza and the banch of people who are working there were taking care of us the whole trip. Due to this amazing experience you can get the sence of nature and basic pharmacy knowledge. Our guide was helpful and taking care of us. Even thought we do not speak spanish our guide spoke with us simple english and we were easily understand each other without any difficulties. The most breathtaking experience was cermony for pacha mama under the shaning jungle stars!!!!
With my friends I had an wonderful opportunity to spend three days in a jungle and I want to do it again!!! The jungle is an amazing place! I saw all the plants and animals! Everything! And also the guide was great!!! Big thanks for that!!!!Nikol- Czech Republic
We decided to go with Max Jungle because of all the good reviews on Tripadviser. Honestly, no idea where they are comming from. Going in to the Jungle is supposed to be an adventure, that is also what they make it sound like in the office. We booked the 4 day Combo Jungle/Pampas. The 2 days in the Jungle were straight up boring. We walked in circles from camp to camp, our guide (and others we saw) only spoke spanish and we had pasta every meal except breakfeast. Although the guide seemed to know a lot, he didn't explain much by himself. Only if we asked. After arriving at the camp the first day at 4pm, some of us wanted to go fishing. Which was good, because otherwise we would have just sat around the camp until the next morning. The guide had no plan what to do. This night, our guide got drunk and passed out at 4am in the morning. The next they he had a massive hangover and was falling asleep more than once while showing us how to make rings (jewelery) out of nuts. Besides that we mostly sat around all day on day 2 (also because it rained a little). After returning to Rurre to start part 2 of the trip, the Pampas, we learned that Max Jungle doesn't do this part of the trip themselves but outsources to Indigena Tours. Indigena charges 900 Bol for a 3 day Pampas Tour. We had to pay the same amount with Max Jungle for a 2 day Pampas Tour which they don't even do themselves! Bottomline: Disappointed! You can do a Jungle Tour for much less with other Operators and it will be much better. Indigena Tours for the Pampas Part was very good though, but book with them directly.
Awesome experience Theresa was very accommodating and flexible with what we wanted to do, she explained what would happen over the 5 days very well and for the most part everything happened as promised which is unusual for Bolivian organization. We choose 2 days Jungle, 3 days Pampas. I would recommend 5 days in total weather its 2 days Jungle, 3 days Pampas or visa versa. Guides were great except for the very limited english spoken. We were lucky to have a spanish speaking person that could translate for us so wasn't a big deal in the end. Good value for money.
The two of us went for a 5 day jungle trek, which was absolutely amazing. We had the possibility to have a guide just for ourselves (without paying more) and had a great time. We could even cancel the pampas tour we booked for directly afterwards on the day we came back, because we didn't feel like destroying our image of the jungle with too many tourists. By the way: thank you Theresa for letting us stay in the office over the day and please excuse the late review :)
Looking for a new challenge, I have decided to start with this survivor tour. For understanding the forest, learning how to make a housing, getting the experience of an indigenous person (especially if you speak Spanish) it's great. We did not get the chance to see many animals. Just birds, monkeys and caimans. We did hear wild pigs, sadly the guide did not push it forward to go and look for them. We were actually following paths that are already made in the jungle, and get to set camps (where the jungle is cleaned and flat to sleep). It is not going completely somewhere new. I was actually disappointed because there is really almost nothing to eat out of the jungle (apart from termites, lavas and small coco nuts of the size of peas), and it is like walking 3-5 hours per day with nothing in your belly. It is hot and you are sweating a lot, and for your body health and your vigilance, I don't think this is ideal. This would not be a problem if you did not have to pay twice as much for this tour as for normal ones. The guide is maybe more specialised, but in the end you don't get any food (apart from a fish after 4 hours of trial for two people, and manioc the guide brought in powder). Not even a small banana at the end of the tour that was well deserved!!! A motorbike to bring us back to the agency would not have been to much to ask for, as they did it on the way in, why not on he way back? I felt ripped off.
I did the 3 day, 2 nights jungle trip, and from start to finish it was excellent! Tereza was fantastic in organizing the details with me, she has a lovely manner and you can tell she wants to provide the best experience for people.Onto the jungle, our guide Pedro, was brilliant, he manages to spot animals from out of nowhere, especially impressive on the nightr trek where we found spiders and frogs! The food prepared by Jerimiah was consistantly good, and was loads to go around to keep the energy high after trekking through thr hot junglw. If you want an authentic experience, camping in the jungle, eating the fruits and creepy crawlies and spotting loads of amazing wildlife, these are your guys!
We did a combined jungle and pampas tour because we were running short on time. They were both amazing. Teresa coordinated everything for us and we even though we arrived a day late, she had everything organised for us to leave straight away. We started with the jungle tour and loved it! Pedro was our guide and fantastic. He was a great chef and we felt totally safe with him throughout the tour. The bush walks, fishing and animal sightings were definitely a highlight. We then went on the pampas tour. It was also very good, but we enjoyed the jungle more. The wildlife in the pampas was phenomenal and the ecolodge we stayed in was very nice. Our final day saw the boat run out of petrol on the way home, but we got some more delivered and it was fine. Swimming with dolphins and anaconda hunting was fun too. Highly recommend this tour company.
We booked our tour through max jungle and had a great time! Teressa was so helpful and we had an amazing trip. Thank you so much!
