There are some large and impressive Inca ruins of multiple different structures here. There is a nice path to walk, which passes a waterfall. We drove here and were able to hire a guide at the entrance, who spoke Quechua and Spanish but not English. She told us many interesting things not just about the site but about other aspects of life as well. When we were here, there was NO one else at the site except for 2 guides/caretakers and their families. This site does not have a lot of tourist educational materials like other more famous Inca ruin sites, but that may be one additional reason to visit this place - coming here feels a bit more like accidentally stumbling on an ancient site and seeing it in its natural form.
Has not been restored like Machu Picchu but none the less a beautiful site. Important to come with a guide to share with you the information about the Inca ruin. Enjoyed having the place to ourselves. If you want to go I'd recommend contacting Remy at Elmundo Verde Travel.
If you want to have a Machu Picchu experience, but then without the mass-tourism you need to visit the Incallatja ruins near Cochabamba city. Huge change you will be there alone with your guide! I made the trip with Remy van de Berg from Elmundo Verde Travel who took care of a perfect organization (as always), very good transportation, food and drinks and he gave a very detailed description of Incallatja.
Dica 2- Roupa leve. Parte do percurso é a pé. Vale muuito a Mochilada!
