Hello everybody ! I was there in last year ! And i have to say that is really picturesque place with a friendly people :) I spent there few hours, but for sure it was the best time that i spent in Potosi. So) i suggest you visit this magic beautiful lovely and absolutely amazing place to feel good on chill lake with a non-transferable mountains around you ) Good luck !!!

This is it in a nut shell... You take a 4 boliviano collectivo ride to Tarapaya, walk about 10 to a 15 minutes up a path that is littered with bottles and discarded diapers to the laguna which is a pond with plastic bottles floating in it... There is trash everywhere. If you choose not to go to the Laguna then the rec center at Tarapaya would be your other option. The olympic size pool there is only open on weekends. I don't even know why I'm elaborating just don't waste your time going here.

I had the one of the best experiences in Bolivia at this place. On the way to Laguna I met a huge Bolivian family who were "drinking" the death of one of theirs member and they invented me to join then. It was a great generosity experience. After that I hike up on my own to see the Laguna which is a great lagoon with hot water and great view. It's 20 minutes from potosi.

Imagine fazer uma caminhada no meio das montanhas e em 20 minutos chegar em uma lagoa aquecida no meio da montanha com 35º graus em um lugar surral ? É ISSO!Vale muito a pena, até a bolha que eu fiz no pé porque eu estava sem meias. hahah

Muito legal a Laguna Tarapaya, fica um pouco distante de Potosí mas vale a visita; fui de van e ão tive problemas, apesar da van deixar a gente no "pé" do morro e tivemos que subir andando. quem for com empresas de turismo, provavelmente chegará de carro até a laguna.

A laguna tarapaya é uma inusitada fonte de águas termais em forma de círculo perfeito,responsavel pelo o abastecimento de um pequeno círculo de termas da localidade.
