this lodge in a gated community is beautiful but far away from the center of Bariloche and far from the main road, so one must have a car to enjoy this haven of tranquility. The building is well kept, the golf course is well tended to also. The houses in that community are of a very high standard boasting splendid gardens bordered by rose bushes. Upon arrival we were greeted by Maria who could not have been more helpful during our stay. She was resourceful, pleasant, and eager to satisfy our needs. She managed to organize a car for us even though none could be had at the airport. She is a gem. The Epic restaurant serves a very good dinner in the main dining room overlooking the golf course, but breakfast is skimpy and repetitive with watery fruit salad and one single croissant. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable with excellent showers. The swimming pool is lovely and bathed with sun in the afternoon. Maid service is excellent and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there.
I didn't stay in any of the official accommodation as I stayed with friends here, but I played the golf course and I thought it was really nice. I am a high handicap golfer and so value views and scenery more than course difficulty, and this place is a stunning place to play golf. It's surrounded by mountains, the air is clear and pure, and it's really a lovely day out. It's not a difficult course and I shot better than my usual (horrible) handicap, but it's really lovely. The folks at the pro-shop are pleasant, it isn't crowded so you won't feel pressure from foursomes behind you -- it's really a nice experience. If you want a cart reserve in advance as they only have a few -- otherwise you can walk with a regular trolley or an electric one. I will try Llao Llao next week, which I am told is more difficult course but equally nice to look at.
I was trying to decide between Arelauquen and Llao Llao for a round of golf, and I went with Arelauquen. It was a great choice - this is truly a fantastic course, especially for the price. I paid 260 pesos for 18 holes and 315 for a club rental, and it was worth every penny. Interesting layout, great conditions, and amazing views. The security at the entrance seemed a bit excessive, but once you get in and take the winding road to the clubhouse, it'll all be worth it.
We hired Mariano Diaz Pena as our bird guide and he lives at this country club. He droves us around the area and it is probably one of the most beautiful country clubs and golf courses in Argentina, let alone the world. The architecture of the houses around the club were beautiful and fit into the landscape. Even if you do not golf it is worth a visit to see the beautiful setting.
I first played Arelauquen 8 years ago. It has now matured into an excellent course - well conditioned and a really good test of golf. Staff are most welcoming and helpful. Worth a visit.
This is a gated community by the Gutierrez Lake. You may rent a house there. There's a fine restaurant, swimming-pool, tennis courts, golf field. Very expensive and surrounded by mountains and great views.
Great Polo fields which were unoccupied so the kids could run crazy. We ate at the restaurant nextto the Polo fields. They tried really hard. The service was excellent, however the food was pretty weak. Some of the dishes seemed microwaved. The wine list was good.
I wish I did not live so far, or had more leisure time to go often to this wonderful place. I would even consider to buy property there.
Fondue (do not expect much), snowmobile, 4x4. Full package. Beautiful condo houses. Buy one!!Get some rest before you go. But Go!
Just an amazing scenic country club and residential area. We stayed at the hotel there and walked around and enjoyed the scenery.
Arelauquen is a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains and polo courts. The food is really good, the staff is nice but kind of slow. So take it easy and enjoy the view!!
Although it's a beautiful place to stay, the accommodations are great, but nothing compared to El Casco Art Hotel which I consider it's the best place in Bariloche. Greenfee it's not expensive (only U$S 50) and the golf course it's very nice, not very difficult. It's horrible to compare, but if you are an excellent golfer, you should have to try the Llao Llao golf course. The good thing is that this place is not crowded, you can comfortably play without any type of delays and disturbances. Great to be relaxed!
Beautifull golf course. Not too difficult for average golfer. Greenfee approximate U$50. Not crowded like most golf courses in Europe.
Beautiful golf club/course. Fantastic scenery surrounded by mountains on all sides. Very well maintained. Small restaurant with simple but good food. Great ambience if you are not looking for ultimate luxury.
The horseback riding adventure in Bariloche's Arelanquen golf and country club was truly memorable. The views are impressive and the service was first class. We learned about traditional polo from our guide Diego who following our 2 hour ride served us to a table of wine, fresh baked bread, cheese, prosciutto and chorizo and great conversation.
