Even if it's not real one it feels like the end of the world.Very isolated only see and animals around. Great experience.
It was part of a boat ride to the Beagle channel and Estancia Harberton. It's a must see.I liked also the sea lions and birds on the nearby rocks.
This is a place full of history and story! The light, the sea and the animal make it unique and magic
During the Beagle Channel navigation tour in Ushuaia you get to go by this lighthouse. This is part of the tour but not the most interesting sight. Our favorite part was to get to see lots of sea lions resting & sunbathing on huge rock formations above water level. Then it was to see hundreds of birds resting also on the rocks. The smell is pretty nasty & it can easily be felt. The last thing is to go around the light house, which it has an important historical meaning, but it is just a light house. But if you decide to do the tour, you will get to see all of it.
We took the catamaran trip (2.5) hours out to the lighthouse. The wind was blowing like crazy and watching the birds try to fly in the wind was so facinating. The sea lions and birds were great.
Visitation with huge catamarans is comfortable and safe, but you lose privacy, with so many people. One can see the lighthouse, marine wolves and marine birds. In the background the peaks of the Cordillera, several of which snow
Nothing special here. However you will be sailing in a cruise or in a Catamarã trip. So, enjoy the moment because it is different and is part of the show!
We feel that we are at the end of the world, it is very impressing feeling and also we have the opportunity to see different kind of sea birds.
We took a cruise and the boat traveled across the beagle channel. We watch the local fauna ( sea lions, birds)on some rocky Island and the journey ends near another Island where the lignite house was build
Visited during a cruise on the Beagle channel on the last day of my trip. It makes a nice contrast between the surrounding landscape. Usually this is the turning point of the cruises in the channel, and the small rocky islets full of fauna are a nice complement for the trip.
we got to see this light house on our catamaran ride. kudos to the boat guys. they place the boat in several different angles and stop around so that everyone gets pics of themselves with this light house in the back ground
A great place to check out from the boat on your Beagle Channel tour and understand how far we were from AntarcticaArgentina's most southerly lighthouse and had an excellent bird watching session while going around it
Nice boat trip to the lighthouse, go to see Argentina's most southernly lighthouse and had an excellent birdwatching session while going around it!
This was the turning point of the boat trip we took out of Ushuaia. The weather was very variable mainly snow showers and grey sky.The lighthouse is situated in the middle of the Beagle channel and was a good contrast of red and white against a backdrop of grey.We enjoyed the trip as there was a lot of wildlife to see. There was a commentary on the boat, although we did not hear that much.
It was interesting to know what it means when you get to the 'farol'. It's a historical mark for the End ohf the World. nice island and feels good to go out in the channel. I learnt a lot from these cruises.
