Aalborg zoo is a very well Kent and great place to spend an afternoon or day with either chilenerne or even adults!!!There is a really top class Bear area and the keepers give ibteresting talks during the.day.Never a full moment.
Beautiful Zoo and famous in Denmark. Worth to take some time and visit one of the largest touristic destinations in this area.
Aalborg zoo is a fantastic place to visit, they had just rebuild the area arround the family area. We had only goodwill thinks to sat about Aalborg zoo
Very nice and manageable zoo. Not too large, one can see it all in one visit and there is a good variety of animals from polar bears to anteaters. Pick a nice day to go!
A beautiful little zoo with very engaged and caring animal keepers. Not many acres but it feels big and it is very beautiful with big old trees. A lot of animals and you don't have to walk forever to get from one enclosure to the next.
I love animals and going to the zoo, but this one is quite small and boring. I don't think it worth the money. Instead you should visit REE Parken, now that it an amazing zoo! It's huge and interesting! I say skip this zoo and visit the other!
We have a second home up north in Jutland, and is often visiting the zoo in Aalborg. Every visit is worth while, and every season they have surprised us with new exhibits, facilities and experiences. The zoo is not very large as it is enclosed by a park on three sides and residential areas on the fourth, but none the less it's a very good zoo, specialized in some species.Last year they inaugurated brand new exhibits for the big cats (Asian lions and Sumatra tigers), showing the animals in surroundings much more becoming to their true nature, and this year they have a brand new playground and a scene for the small shows for children (nice place during an occasional shower).Only a few older exhibits are left, and to my knowledge they are on a plan to be refurbished.Recently they also refurbished the Zoo restaurant, so you can actually get something different than the normal fast foot menus. You can also bring your own food and enjoy it at the many sheltered places made just for this (also great places for the occasional shower). The Zoo shop is a great place for the kids with a nice mixture of knick-knack and more serious zoovenirs. If you intend to come back within the next year an admission card valid for one year should be considered, as it will also give you free access to the lion park in Givskud, the old city in Aarhus and many more places. These offers are though subject to change.Tip: Go to the Aalborg Zoo on a rainy day - there are far fewer people and the kids can sometime be lucky to get closer to the animals together with a keeper.Highly recommendable.
Great option to bring and enjoy your own food and perfect place for families :) The new playpark was great fun, we will be back someday again
Very nice place with an exciting playground for the kids if they need a break from seeing animals. The playground is good for the youngest as well (our son is 1 year old and he loved it). Many zebras, giraffes, elephants. We had a great time.
I'm not usually a fan of zoos but I had a great day here, lots to see and interact with. The feeding of the tigers was informative and unique. Building improvements in progress for the summer so will definitely visit again soon.
Nice and clean family friendly zoo. They have just renovated the play area for smaller children, along with lion/tiger area over the last year or so.The food you can buy in the park isn't that good. So bring your own food, instead of buying it at the park.
I have been a regular visitor in the Zoo for the past two decades. And I still love it. It is a great place for families and couples. Not much else to say. Go there.
I have been to Aalborg zoo twice, the first time i went almost every animal had, had babies, i went again last summer with my family and friends, beautiful hot day, the animals were even feeling the heat. Enjoyed a picnic in the shade. Its a lovely zoo.
I really like it! Okay, it's maybe a bit expensive if you only use it once, but I have a card that will get me in for a whole year, and it's a great way to entertain the kids.
Aalborg Zoo is a medium sized zoo, with about 140 different species. We were there in November, out of season, and the offer was a bit limited. Some of the animals were other places and the play ground was totally rebuilt (opens april 2014). On the side, there were not many people inside and no queues anywhere. The zoo has two main elements: animals and play grounds. We enjoyed a good meal at Skovbakken, and we can really recommend this restaurant.
