vinnytsya museum of art

Thanks to the guy from the museum, I've got really interesting tour of the museum collection, that despite its size is varied and well organized. "Must visit" for just 10 hrn.

Even though I was so disappointed in the treatment I got at the Regional Museum, the next day I visited Vinnytsya's Art Museum (10 hrv) which is located just to the right of the Regional Museum. My faith in museums was restored. This museum had a young woman who gave me a lecture tour (40 hrv) in English of the 6 or so rooms of art. She was lovely and I think she had to translate her memorized script into English. Periodically, the cashier would yell at her from the end of the corridor. The cashier wanted to go home at 5 pm. The official closing time was 5:30pm and my museum guide was adamant that I should get the full lecture. It was kind of a surreal experience. Each time my lecturer was interrupted by the cashier's yelling, she would have to regroup to find her place in the script she was delivering. Despite the distractions, I really enjoyed her lecture comparing and contrasting paintings in different rooms. Bravo!
