A beautiful fortress in the centre of the city. It´s free (!) and clean and they have their own church inside. Makes a good background for pictures.

When you visit Astrakhan, you cant miss it. Worth a visit, perfect for taking some nice pictures ;) It is clean and its free. You may see a lot of wedding couples visiting over the weekend those come here to take pictures.

Definitely worth visiting. A very clean and beautiful Kremlin, with a few interesting (but well hidden) museums in the walls. Also worth seeing is the church inside, and the local traditional dance performances they put on inside the Kremlin in the summer.

Lovely grounds and buildings. Partly under renovation when we were there. Mostly free apart from the towers.

The moment you step onto the grounds of the Astrakhan Kremlin is like stepping into another timezone, capturing the essence of what it was and is today.Tram ride is available. Suggest having a tour guide.

Nice, clean, well maintained. Impressive churches near the entrance. A must see for visitors! Free admission.

Huge fort with cathedral inside. A must see/do if you're visiting Astrakhan. Centrally located. Allow a couple of hours if you're also visiting the cathedral inside.

If you are visiting Astrakhan just for one day, this is the place to go. It is at the city center, easily accessible, open till late hours and there are some nice parks and restaurant around the place. If you don't want to get locked up inside one of the big shopping malls, doing nothing but walking around and looking at stuff that you won't buy, kremlin and its vicinity is a good open air alternative to spend some time.It has a small souvenier shop as at the gate which is good to get small tokens for future remembrance.The place it self has a very high clock / bellfry tower and has a chapel inside. It has a fairly large garden with nice views of the buildings and good lightning that proves a nice spot for taking photographs at night if you have the proper equipment with you.Do not miss it if you are at Astrakhan. Nice place to spend time while waiting for dinner time.

I went to Astrakhan Kremlin the first time on a Sunday afternoon while waiting for the plane. The city center was a nice surprise. The Kremlin complex and the Cathedral are not very big however are nicely located in the heart of the city surrounded by gardens and pedestrial areas. Definitely worth a visit especially in the evening!

The ancient Astrakhan Kremlin complex (1582-1589) is not very large but very nice and cozy! We've been there at the end of the day and the Cathedral is absolutely gorgeous in the evening gleams of sun!The Cathedral outside walls and domes look just great! But interiors are just recently renovated and I didn't determine any of ancient icons - all new. Except major Uspenskiy cathedral there is a very lovely Troitskiy temple.There are couple of souvenire shops next to the entrance. Also quite detailed Kremlin map is in place (see pictures)). Also there are four excibition halls in the tower and at the gates.Kremlin open hours daily 06:00 - 22:00, Monday is day off.If you're in Astrakhan - it's a must-see attraction. Visit it and you enjoy it!

Сейчас там проводится реконструкция, поэтому посетить можно цейхгауз, гауптвахту и пороховой погреб. Остальное, если и посещаемо, то закрыто. В цейхгаузе художественная выставка, в гауптвахте историческая экспозиция по тематике, в погребе экспозиции по оружию и изба (в этой избе не был).

недавно сделали ремонт!Есть несколько музеев. Особенно понравился Кафедральный собор.Красиво одним словом:)

В музее нужно платить за каждую выставку отдельно, а их много, и занимают они каждая по маленькой комнатке. В общем, культура выживает, как может...

В Астрахани была в командировке всего один день, но выкроила из графика пару часов, что конечно же мало, и погуляла по Кремлю... Очень понравился... Тихо, красиво, величественно... Все чисто, убрано. Народу не много. С удовольствием побываю еще раз.

Прекрасное место для прогулок и экскурсий! именно там можно проникнуться в историю этого чудесного города. Кремль поражает своей красотой!
