艾拉塔博物馆和当代艺术画廊

我是在圣彼得堡读书学习了很多年的学生，平时很少出门旅游什么的，但是后来跟随俄罗斯朋友去了一趟艾拉尔塔俄罗斯当代艺术博物馆，发现里面真的很有意思，其中有一个活动叫U空间，里面有一个房间是让我们再次体验儿童时期的感觉，真的太棒了！还有很多很多特别有意思的东西，都非常值得你去看一看哦！！

Erarta isn't in the centre of St Petersburg, and in terms of attractions it isn't the most convenient to get to, but it is worth the trip. In fact, if you catch the No.10 trolleybus from Nevsky Prospekt it will drop almost outside the door.The gallery itself is very impressive and imposing. The inside is well-laid out with plenty of space allowing the exhibits to 'breathe'. The building has been renovated very sympathetically. You get a good overview of Russia art now, and it is displayed with intense enthusiasm and passion (the translations, in particular, are accurate, precise and evocative.) Clearly the people running Erarta want to transmit to native and foreign visitors their passionate interest in Russian art in it's current form. They achieve this aim with aplomb. I may not have engaged with all the art, but I did feel that this was a worthwhile insight into how people in Russia are using art to express themselves. For this reason alone, Erarta is well worth the visit.

I should say - this is a must for modern arts lovers. 5 storeys of contemporary art . Galery is situated in a nicely restored and refurbished Stalin style building. main exposition houses numerous objects of modern Russian art, and temporary exhibitions are international. very good museum shop and a lovely restaurant in the basement with exotic, european and russian meals. also they serve coctails.

Dear StillBeingP, thank you for your feedback. Glad that you’ve mentioned our self-portrait gallery. It is a unique Erarta project. All self-portraits belong to artists whose works are in the permanent collection. They received identical canvases and just one task — to create their self-portraits. The result is a surprising variety of images and styles. That’s why the gallery of self-portraits is as much interesting as any of Erarta halls. You’re absolutely right to say that we are a bit aside from the other sights, though a bus trip from Nevsky prospect takes not more than 15 minutes. We hope that you had a safe trip back home! Dear Olga C, thank you for your detailed feedback. No need to say how useful it will be for our future guests. However, it was a pity to know that you weren’t impressed by our unique project U-Space. You are absolutely right to say that they are difficult to describe. U-Space rooms are total installations, which are art-spaces, involving art objects, paintings and installations of artists from Erarta’s museum collection. Each one has its own theme, which immerses the viewer in a particular world and evokes different feelings, emotions, thoughts and maybe even memories. That’s why U-Space rooms are hard to explain – they are very personal and so much dependent on those who are inside. We hope that at the end of the year when we’ll open a new wing and new U-Space rooms you’ll come back and try them again. Just focus on feelings inside you- that is the key. We look forward to seeing you!

Dear KorenNegev, thank you for your feedback! It’s a pleasure to know that we should the one and the only museum for short-trip travelers. We are glad you’ve noticed that Russian contemporary art is much influenced by our mentality and history. It’s a good way to become closer with our country and people. However the trick is that our building, that really looks like new, was built in 1961 for a political party, but actually it has never been here. Lately the building hosted Research Institute of Synthetic Rubber. It took us three years to reconstruct the building interiors completely and Erarta opened its doors to the public in 2010. Be sure that we'll keep trying our best to introduce you talented artists and interesting exhibitions.
