I would definitely recommend walking the hill to Boztepe. it is a nice steep walk (15 mins walk from the Meydan up the hill making your way through the Turkish houses and the daily activities of the locals. up there you will get a "panoramic" view of Trabzon , the port and the black sea! there are cafes to sit drink tea and enjoy the view or you can get your own "stuff" and sit around. there is also a forested area on the other side of the street you can do a picnic there!
If you have the time, the walk up is very interesting as you walk by typical shops used by locals. Some spots are steep. At the top, take time to sit and admire the view. There are lots of tables and chairs and we were not hassled at all when we did not order from the waiter. Wooded area is a nice break from the sun.
Great place, great view! Be sure to find your way here if you are in town , especially around sunset!
Easy to get here by dolmus from top of Meydan (every 5 mins or less) costing 1,75 TL/pers. Drop off when you pass the restaurant(s).There is also a burial place here for some turkish famous person - which one we do not know. There is one Cafe highest up, one restaurant in the wooded area and one cafe a bit down on the edge.Worth a visit and some photoshots.
Well worth the short dolmus ride up steep hill to see all city laid out before you. get off at park.tea shop on terrace
A great place to visit, beautiful scenery, especially at night. Be sure to drink tea served in a "semaver", can't get enough.
There are bunch of restaurants and tea houses you could choose and they do serve food from breakfast time. The tea and food are just a bit pricey but acceptable. You could find perfect place for the whole view of Trabzon and Black Sea.Enjoy the tea with the amazing view.
A fantastic view for Trabzon from the mountain, wonderful sitting & shisha to those who love shisha.Wonderful weather & tree smells.recommend all to visit.
We decided to visit this place to escape from the heat in the center. You can take a minibus from Ataturk Meydan to reach it. When you reach up there, there are not a lot of things which you can do. Most of people usually order turkish tea but you can take your food and nuts with you because I did not see restaurants. The view of the city and sea is very nice.
I drove my car with my family to this high point of Trabzon to enjoy the sight and the sunset. It was worth the drive. You can see the great Trabzon and it's seaport. We also saw the cruise that was parking there from a balcony view. But for some reason no one came to offer us any kind of tea or food as we wanted to drink the authentic Trabzon tea. Luckily my wife and I had our own coffee so we didn't really miss anything. The kids liked the place too.
We were on a tour and didn't actually know why we stopped here till we looked it up in a book afterwards. Tables in the shade, with tea brought out in elaborate decorative pots.
We went here for the beautiful sunset and twilight sky views. It was a great place for tea and grilled cheese, but there is no place to eat a proper meal. You should go, but bring some food with you--you'll be surrounded by locals drinking tea and playing backgammon!
Really nice view, take the Dolmus from the main Bus Station near Atatürk Place, get out and enjoy the nice view over the city. Recommended especially at night. Suitable for large familes as well. The tea served in a Samovar is excellent, the food is guite good (we took Köfte and fries), although not exceptional.
Our first atop after arriving in Trabzon was the tea garden at BozTepe. After ordering our breakfast, we waited about 30 minutes, but when it finally came it was well worth it! Tea in. Semaver, Trabzon bread and butter, pure chestnut honey, etc, etc...
I'm not sure if I'm in the right place, but I went so deep an saw nothing but buildings. I didn't have time to recognize if there's special place to visit there.
