A small museum but the visit was truly valuable. We were lucky to attend the English tour and we highly recommend to join one as this is the only possibility to see Tesla's ingenious inventions at work and to fully admire his skills and story of his life! I hope more and more people will come and learn about Tesla, the extraordinary Serbian scientist
When you visit this small but impressive museum first yo can watch a video about Tesla and his works, then a guide will explain briefly his works and theories about electric current. You can try some basic experiments of Tesla an you can also see his urn. Entrance ticket is 500 RSD.
It is a must. An interesting story and attraction. The children loved it a lot. Highly recommend it.
This is a place that will always have a special place in my memory. It was very simple when I visited, in 2008, which was somewhat surreal. It felt like I was walking through his rooms just after he left. I know he didn't live there for long, but it still gave me a sense of his presence. There is nothing more incredible than visiting this place, if you're a fan of science and history.
Every time I have a visitor from abroad I take them here. Nikola Tesla was such a genious that you can not leave the museum without being impressed. The museum itself is small, the entire tour takes around one hour, but everything is presented in a very amusing way. Guides are really good. Don't worry if you're clueless about physics, it's interesting even to the kids. Tours are taking place every hour and are being held in Serbian or English so if you don't want to wait for the right one, it's better to call in advance and schedule.
The exhibits were regular, Tesla's suit, letters, this urn (buhu). The interesting part comes after this, its a little presentation about his inventions. They have very well made replicas and you can even take part in the experience yourself.
This Museum is very easy to find and offered a discount with the flash of your ISIC card. The museum is tiny, and consists of one floor of replicates of Tesla's inventions and some of his possessions. A great way to kill an hour and to remind yourself of influential history.
If you want to witness and take part in various experiments from the world of Physics, this is your place!
We made the guided tour in English. First we watched a DVD explaining Tessla´s life and main research; later there were a few practical demostrations of his works. The guide was very kind, informative and funny, so the visit was not bored.Book the tour in advance..
This museum although it is small it is a must see! The time that we visited had also a presentation showing the story of Nikola Tesla. There was also a demonstraiton of his inventions from a very good scientist who's name was Stanislava. Totally worths a visit! If there is a presentation do not miss it!
I was lucky to join English tour (quite frankly without guide, it is a bit more difficult to understand Tesla's work). Excellent experience and very informative. I spent almost 1.5h there - which is really strange given that museum has only 4 rooms. Informative brochure to take home - good that there was a picture of the museum, because there is only very small sign outside (I somehow expected a big neon sign ;))
I visited the museum on my first morning in Belgrade. I timed it pretty well, that I had twenty-five minutes to look through the museum before the tour started. I went through and read everything on the panels in the whole museum and I still had ten minutes to wait for the tour. It is that small. The tour started with a film about Tesla's life, but it was the condensed version, breezing through his eight decades. And then, the tour really started with a guide demonstrating some of Tesla's inventions using replica machines. The whole wireless electricity is pretty amazing, if really loud. Tesla's ideas are still way ahead of our time, let alone when he was creating in the 19th and 20th century. Unfortunately, the museum is small and doesn't really do him justice. I would have loved to hear more about him as a person, the human side of Tesla (what was with his affection for pigeons? Is it because their attuned to Earth's magnetic field?), but until the museum is in a larger building, I don't see them able to do much more. Unless you can participate in a tour with the machine demonstrations, it is not really worth the price of admission, but if you can be there for that, it's pretty incredible.
This is a great place. There are so meny cool things inside. Also you can take photos insideYou can play with electicity.Hope you will enjoy as i did.
Just before I go there,I red about him and it lightened me a lot.Tesla rules the world with his genius so seriosly and world is still comig after him.Nikola Tesla Museum should be the first destination of your trip so seriously. We experienced the Tesla coil and it was magnificent. And you better take a guided tour or you cant see the experiments and how that machines works.
