Easy to find, relatively cheap at 2.50 to enter. Shame there isn't more information or boards giving the history of the castle etc. sparsely decorated, only the hanging room has any description of the use of the castle. The museum could do with updating also, probably hasn't changed since its installation circa 1990.
The museum here was two rooms that had pottery from the time period, swords and fire arms. There are cannons from different time periods as well. The best of the tiny castle is being able to walk to the top. The views of the sea are pretty amazing as is fact that you are that standing on a castle.
The fort is very nice. The yard can make a lot of nice photos. The top of the wonderful view. Very romantic.
Dont expect much of a museum but the location (is on the sea) is a must see, if you are a tourist then you must visit. I do take my kids from time to time even though I am a cypriot. 2.50 euros per person entrance.
there is nothing to see inside that you can't see from the outside, its fine to take small children in but any serious 'history lovers' will be bitterly disappointed with this fort.
Small but worth a look. There isn't a lot in Larnaka. It's the people who make the place. They are lovely. The castle is part of the ambiance so it is worth taking it in.
By the beachside....you can pay a short visit to this...but nice views from the top...apart from that, nothing really stunning about it..
This is only a Small Castle but well worth a Visit ! Very informative staff and a piece of Larnaca History
It is a small castle at the end of the Promenade and the entrance fee of Euro 2.50 seems little higher side. View from the castle is good. One can just visit the castle since it is of medieval era.
intensive repointing of exterior walls being carried out on our visit, small and not that interesting, worthy of a photo from the beach
We liked the view at the top of the castle. You can see Foinikoudes and the beach below. Worth a visit.
Great gem of a castle on the front of Larnaka, only €2.50 each and students Free ya can't go wrong. Great views from the top of the castle all along Larnaka seafront, not the biggest place to look around but well worth the admission fee. Helpful staff and some good information boards...All round worth a visit....
We have visited this Castle for 2.5 EUR as entrance fee per person, but there were only few thing to see inside. Except of the exceptional view along the beach it shows a poor collection of potteries and some small caves used as prison. Some cannons from ancient times and WW II on the courtyard are also exposed.
Not the best castle I have been too, but then you should go to Germany if you want castles. Not expensive and can be a little bit of peace from the busier sea front. Great views over the blue Med and old town.
It costs 2.5 euro (fixed) price, free for students to enter the castle, there isn't really anything interesting in it. what you see from the outside is generally what you imagine for it to be on the inside, if you want castles go to scotland.
