lovely picturesque beach, 2 mins from hotel, even in winter it was nice, but not for bathing until warmer weather.
I stayed a Passiouri Beach back in 2007 and its still one of the spots I visit when in Cyprus. The ideal get away, its quite and very pretty I loved it just what I needed at the time. The only downside to this location is it has no public transport, if you wish to look around, visit Pissouri Village or go into the larger towns you have to hire a car or call for a taxi. If your idea of heaven is a pretty beach, good food and quite, pack your books and swim suit its definitely for you.
This Beautiful Bay visually. Could be 5* outstanding if given beach was given more attention, e.g .raked, kept tidy every day. Water sports need confining more.
Just the place and surrounding scenery. You need a car to get around, imagine in the summer it would be really busy, a good diving centre if you into that.
Pretty beach set in a bay. Lots of pebbles and rocks. Deserted on our visit but can imagine it's heaving in the summer. Not that many accessible public beaches in this part of cyprus so take what you can get I suppose. Nothing special in my book.
We loved pissouri beach even in December and people were in swimming. Easy parking and very clean. To the East end we were informed it was for naturist sunbathers and to the West is The beautiful Columbia Beach Hotel and resort.
Great and never crowded. tavernas right on the beach. Away from the madding crowd. don't come here if you want discos and noise.
I have been to this area several times over the years, at different times of the year. It seems to me that between July and August the beache is popular but not too overcrowded. There are some areas with sun beds to hire for a few euros a day. And........right at the end by the rocks the naturist beach! Which I found was quite discreet and not overly used. There are a couple of business's providing water sport and inflatable fun at a fair price. In the bay are a handful of restaurants providing food all day, into the evening. During the spring, April to May, the climate is lovely if you don't like it too hot, as is mid September to October. November and December start to cool, but stil can be upto 20-23' with the occasional shower and wind. Overall I prefer this relaxing place anytime of year rather than the craziness of the over populated paphos. If you want buzz all the time go elsewhere but if you want to relax and forget everyone else, this is the place to be. After all the buzz and hub of paphos and limos are only 20 minute driver away!
Lovely place but little in walking trails. Did find one in the north west corner at the end of the Aristo development. Track leads from the restaurant out along the cliff tops. Stunning view of cliffs and valleys. Well worth a trip.We stayed in Top view villa, which is highly recommended. This villa was so well equipped that it was just like being at home. The beds were v .comfortable, the villa was well furnished inside and outside with one thing all other villas I have rented lack, small tables around the pool for that cold drink and lotions, etc. When we did have a small problem with the TV, the owner, Jimmy, was willing to drive 25km at night in the middle of a thunderstorm to rectify it. I cannot recommend this villa more highly. Lovely location, lovely owner and even the pool man, Gavin, was smashing. Will definitely rent again in the future,
I looked this place and and followed the directions to the letter. Follow the signs for pissouri village, DO NOT GO UP TO THE VILLAGE, watch for the sign to limossol and carry on for 5 minutes, you will see a sign pissouri jetty, just follow the road and you will arrive at the car park. Walk on to the beach and head down on your left hand side. get to the end and climb over the rocks to the next bay, walk quite a way in to the bay and look for somewhere to get naked.
I love a sandy beach and Pissouri is mostly pebbles. Not so much fun for kids to play and awkward for paddling. Cheap sunbeds and the sunbed guy was super helpful and friendly.
The beach is a mixture of stones, sand and seaweed. Enter the water via the pontoon if you can as accessing it from the beach means having to wade through seaweed and large rocks.
Though not the easiest beach to find it's certainly one of the best. Long and sandy but not too busy, you are guaranteed to get some sand to yourself here.
At the moment the beach is at a happy medium point between unspoilt beauty and commercialism. The central part of the beach has all the usual water sports concessions and a number of very good bars and restaurants. At either end, however, it is still quite wild. As with most beaches in this part of Cyprus, there is a mixture of sand and shingle, so beach shoes are a good idea. The beach slopes very quickly into the sea, so it is ideal for swimming. A pleasant breeze stops the temperature from becoming uncomfortable. If you want to go natural, there is a nudist spot at the far end behind the rocks. Don't know if it is official or not.
First of all, what a drive!!! You need to drive through this little town extremely up and downhill to get to this beach. Once you reach it, top part of the beach is for the hotel. It was very windy and lots of wave when we were there, has a platform for you to swim out which is nice. The beach itself is half pebbly half sandy, more pebbly than sand tho, and lots of dead seaweed stuff on shore too, not sure what it exactly is but not pleasant....
