We emailed ahead of our visit to make sure someone was on-site for our visit. Upon our slightly early arrival we received the warmest welcome from Maria, whom then led us into the chicly decorated bar to begin our great tasting experience. There were a great selection of whites and reds and my favourite their rosé.The views from the bar were outstanding! One thing I will say is that their prices on most wines were such good value it really is worth getting a good few bottles to take to hotel/ home... If not only because the tasting experience itself was free!I'm sure you will enjoy your visit to this family run winery, and as mentioned earlier throw a quick email to them to make sure they are expecting you. Thanks again to Maria!

Stunning scenery, friendly and very welcoming family and good and extremely economic food. But most important truly excellent wines made from Cypriot grape varieties - no international varieties here which is as it should be. It is a must place to visit and experience away from the multitude of tourists in the coasal districts of Paphos.

Our stop at Vouni Panayia Winery was not planned but we're happy we did! My wife and myself stopped to have a quick look and discovered superb wine at decent prices served by the kind, warm and welcoming of Andreas and his family. Highly recommended!

We arrived at the winery and was greeted by the owner's son who explained the history behind the place and gave us generous samples of their wine. We were also treated to some free coffees and grape based sweets (I can't remember the name of them!) in the restaurant. We were then given a tour around the facilities and the whole experience was excellent. We ended up choosing the two most expensive wines without having previously looked at the price list (although still cheap by British standards) which goes to show that the extra manufacturing costs makes a difference! Highly recommended.

Having been initially introduced to the founder of the winery, Andreas proceeded with the tour having sampled the wines produced. His enthusiasm and passion for the work they do here shines through. Having had a very interesting tour we then enjoyed the meze which in our opinion was superb. I would strongly recommend a visit as we had the most brilliant afternoon.

We visited the Vouni Panayia winery with friends and our 12 year old daughter. We we given the wine tasting and tour by the founder Andreas, an absolutely passionate man with good English and a fascinating story. After the tour we had the meze lunch which was out of this world and included half a bottle of their own wine per couple all for 20 euros a head. Amazing value and a fantastic afternoon.

I planned my visit to the winery, as I was already a big fan of their rose wine Pampela. The route from the province of Paphos is very interesting. The location of the winery offers a sense of freedom as it is high in the mountains and gives magnificent views of the dam of Kannaviou and the monastery of Panagia Chrysorroyiatissa . The hospitality characterize the family winery that ensure that every visitor has a unique experience through wine tasting and other vine products, a tour in the winery- which includes wine museum- and a warm smile. We thank especially Chrysanthos and Petros who brought us the magic of wine the day we visited the winery. Looking forward to visiting again the Vouni Panayia Winery!!

This superb winery is high up on the mountain road, just before the village of Panayia. It’s an hour’s scenic ride on the 637 bus from Karavella station in Paphos old town. The 50 mile round trip is amazing value at only 1.50 euros for a single ticket – or even less if, as we did, you buy a day ticket to use on other journeys. We wandered in and were warmly greeted by the owner Andreas and his son Peter. We were offered coffee prior to a free wine-tasting, and then Peter led us through to the tasting room. We were the only visitors and Peter gave us his full attention for about half an hour. We hadn’t even booked – although we wished we had as we would have loved to have stayed for the home-cooked meze lunch and a tour of the winery and vineyards.Peter served us six different wines, accompanied by a generous plateful of delicious, home-made goat’s cheese. He described the grapes used for each wine, and told us all about how his father, his uncle and a cousin had started the business in 1987. Afterwards we were shown to a table on the terrace, with magnificent panoramic views, and served more wine of our choice, more cheese, grapes and home-made Cypriot sweets. And this was all absolutely free! Needless to say, we bought a few bottles of wine to take away with us – at very reasonable prices. Our favourite, the Alina dry white, cost just 4.50 euros a bottle. Thanks Peter and Andreas. Our visit was one of the highlights of our holiday. We will definitely book a visit and a meal the next time we are in Cyprus.

This is a very friendly winery - we haven't eaten here but have taken friends to taste the wines which is a good experience and the wine is a good price. The owner and his family take time to explain and look after us well.

We visited the Vouni Panayia Winery yesterday as part of a day trip into the mountains. We were greeted by the owner and his son who could not do enough to make us feel welcome. We were offered complimentary drinks as we arrived (we took coffees although wine was also offered - still a little too early for us). The building is beautifully designed and we were taken through to a tasting room where we sampled seven different wines, accompanied by goat's cheese, made by the owner's sister. A real family business in Cypriot style! We were then taken on a tour of the winery by Peter, the owner's son, whose pride in the winery was evident. He answered our many questions knowledgeably and clearly knew a great deal about the wine-making process. (I cannot understand a previous reviewer's criticisms - I am really not sure how she could have had a disappointing experience here and am glad to see that other reviewers enjoyed their visits as much as we did). After the tour we had a meze lunch overlooking the valley. A delicious mixture of fresh, locally produced food. We will certainly visit here again, if only for this lovely lunch and the view (and to purchase more wine, of course).

The visit to the winery done together with a young son of the owner was below my expectations. He was not prepare to do this job.The wine tasting was at the same level. The restaurant has served us a medium quality mezé and the final price was 20 € per person.

A beautiful drive to the winery from Paphos through lovely mountain roads (50 mins drive), once there the view is to die for.We were greeted by Andrias and his son Peter, after the drive a drink was called for!. Then, we tasted all the wines they produce and then "wobbled" back to the terrace for our meze... the food kept on coming!!!There were 8 of us in the party and were made extremely welcome.I recommend a visit and just enjoy the experience.

I have been to this winery many times and have never been disappointed. An interesting (and generous!) wine tasting. A tour around the winery and cellars. Then a freshly cooked meze with seasonal produce, not the usual fare. I highly recommend this place, you won't regret it!

We visited the winery after buying a bottle of their wine in a local supermarket. An excellent afternoon followed, you could not beat the hospitality of the place. We sampled their whole range and our favourite was the Spourtiko a lovely dry white. After buying 12 bottles and drinking the superb wine had to go back for a second visit to purchase more before leaving the island.

We have visited this winery on many occasions and enjoyed lunch there and this week we took some friends who hadn't visited before. Petros the "next generation" took us on the tour and watched grapes being taken in for the start of this season's wine. Petros was extremely knowledgeable about the family business and carried out an excellent wine tasting (with superb local goats cheese I have to say). We then moved across to enjoy a tasty lunch cooked by his mother Thelma which was very seasonal , fresh and tasty accompanied by a bottle of Alina Dry White and Pampela Rose overlooking one of the most stunning views in Cyprus. A most enjoyable time and excellent value for money with the added benefit of purchasing wines to take home. Highly recommended/
