A ten minute stroll from the centre of Mondsee will bring you into Almeidapark, which is part of the quay at Mondsee. It is a well kept grassed area with something for everyone, especially for children. There's a fantastic playground, pathways where some joggers went past, plenty of benches, or you can feed the swans, ducks and coots that frequent the Lakeside Promenade. Where you can take early morning walks and watch the sunrise, or late afternoon and watch as the evening sun light changes the hue of the mountains and lake.There are a number of displays dotted around the park relating to the significant Neolithic site under the lake and the religious connections of this area.There are restaurants close by for a coffee, light lunch or just sip a glass of wine and watch the scenery. A great place for a “sundowner” or picnic. You can also take a boat ride around the lake which takes about an hour, or hire a motor boat and do some cruising on your own.

We only had one day in Mondsee but the overall impression is that it is a lovely village. The main attraction is the large lake that is set in a beautiful location with a wonderful mountain backdrop. The lakeside has a profusion of benches as well as nice parks and gardens and there are lots of activities available for water sports fans.This place is certainly worth a visit.

Beautiful lake and we did a lovely boat ride for an hour around the lake! Plenty of restaurants to choose from. Close to town centre and super walking trails.

We had so much fun with slides jump towers and bounces. A restaurant served lunch and offered us stunning lake views. We spent about 4 hours here but kids could have stayed all day. It cost about 40 euroes to get in for the four of is Well worth it.

I will term this as a perfect place to relax and chill out before you move ahead. Awesome park to play around with your kids. The whole view of lake surrounded by mountains and cool breezes was just perfect. We spent around couple of hours around lake and town and was totally taken away by this beautiful town. Couple of restaurants around. Nothing better than having a relaxing time with lake around. If you have time u must visit and try to goto wolfgangsee from here total picturesque.

While pottering about my wife found the only piece of ice for miles!!!!!. Enjoyed the lake and in particular but would have been splendid with around 12" of snow .Would love to go back in the summer when this place will really shine..

What a beautiful place Mondsee is. We visited the church where the wedding in the film "The Sound of Music" took place. St Michaels Bassilika. The town is lovely. The Bassiika is stunning outside and insde. Well worth a visit

If you like clear water, sun, boat tours, sceneries, swimming or water-skiing, Mondsee lake is for you! Not far from Salzburg and totally worth it! Visit the village also, it appears in the movie The sound of Music, its so pretty!

The lake is breathtaking! Be sure to bring your lounge chair and soak in the sun in front of the lake. The lake itself is clear blue with beautiful houses and views lined up in the background. It's definitely a must-see in Mondsee!

Ola Viajantes!. Este sitio é simplesmente magnifico, de parar a respiração para quem gosta de admirar paisagens.... Único. Tem uma vista espectacular as casas locais são magnificas. O tempo para quando se chega a Mondsee. Um sitio que tras paz.Não percam a visita de forem a Salzburgo pois fica a caminho e fica uma recordação incrível.Este não, mas alguns lagos mais pequenos gelam com o Inverno!Recomendo vivamente.

Llegamos aquí traidos por el tour de la película Sound of Music, ya que algunas escenas se filmaron en la iglesia de este pueblo. Sin embargo es interesante más allá de eso. Son lindas casas típicas de Austria, y venden strudel de manzana muy bueno. Muy lindo lugar.

Ho visitato questo bellissimo lago ad inizio gennaio, con una immobile atmosfera invernale, fredda e sospesa. Non per questo il posto è risultato meno bello, molto suggestivo, deserto, ma piacevole con lo scorcio delle montagne sul lato opposto dello specchio d'acqua. Ci tornerò con la bella stagione.

Специально заезжали по пути из Зальцбурга в Вену. Зима, поэтому о купании и не думали. Озеро, берега, скалы, туман - место просто волшебное. По австрийский все ухожено и удобно. Рекомендуем.

Пляж очень благоустроен и прекрасен своей инфраструктурой - 2 большие аквапарковские горки, 2 горки в воду, пирс, понтон, метрах в 10-15 от берега - надувные горки и батуты, айсберг и сатурн, на которые надо залазить - детям и взрослым раздолье для отдыха и веселья! на пляже переодевалки, чистые туалеты, бистро-бар и палатка по продаже сосисок. можно взять лежаки и зонтики. по ценам вполне демократично - 5.5 евро вход на пляж с человека за весь день (после 13:00 - 3.4 евро вход), лежак 3 евро на весь день/2 евро после 13:00 + 10 евро возвращаемый залог. еда и напитки не самые дешёвые, но это как раз неудивительно. есть мини-бассейнчик для совсем маленьких - там мелкая горка и зонтик-фонтанчик, есть огороженный песчаный лягушатник для тех, кто постарше. в общем - советую
