自在从容的大城.不过比起维也纳,当然相对保守.居民较排外(一开始时,也许因为害羞或不善交际)却也相对较热情.在旧城区,无论哪个角落都是可以停留放松的好地方,建议一定要来.

Cute small town perfectly for long walks. I was with my friends in Graz a month ago and I love this city. You can see everything by walking, buses or taxi are not needed. The old town is worthvisiting.

the old town of Graz is very inviting to go for a walk, during the day or the night. There are nice shops, good bars and nice restaurants

In the old city you can take nice leisure walks and stop from time to time on the terraces to have a coffee or a drink. A lot of great architectural jewels, nice public spaces and some nice monuments. The atmosphere is friendly and open. On Sunday, like almost everywhere in Germany or Austria, most of the shops are closed.

Get a guided tour, in this way you learn more about the city. Not many people speak english in Graz, so it good to learn a bit of German when visiting

a nice Altstadt with historic buildings, with a guide you also can learn a lot about the history of the Altstadt. the negative is on Sundays very little good public premises are open. is the most beautiful Altstadt in December (Christmas time) and in summer, very good tmospheres in the garden cafes.

One of the best kept old towns in Europe. Graz is also know for it's Musik Hochschule - Jazz lovers know that!

Graz has a beautiful center, old houses, narrow lanes, many restaurants, bars... There are a lot of cultural events especially in autumn. The prices are moderate in comparison to Salzburg

The best time of the year for visiting, not only Altstadt but also Graz, is December 'cause there is a "Christmas fair" in whole city and everything looks magic and so beautiful. Don't miss an opportunity to try "Glühwein" or a waffle :) I had a great time!

Historic buildings, cafes, restaurants, museums, narrow streets with shops and churches - just great to walk around and enjoy the atmosphere. There is a good reason the old town has been designated UNESCO world heritage site.

Lovely old city, streets going up to the mountain, right in the center of the city. Lots of restaurants, pubs and excellent views. I was there on 25-th of december, so it was cold and everything was closed, but still I could it a good pizza and take lots of photos.

comparing the international reputation of Vienna and Salzburg with Graz, the latter is sadly underrated. The old town is a fantastic mix of Renaissance, Baroque and 19th century architecture, plus some avantgarde items. Graz breathes the strong regional identity of Styria province. Several top restaurants, a great opera house and a big theatre. Definitely worth a visit of at least 3 or 4 days, regardless of the season of the year.

Austria's second largest city hasn't always been on the tourist route but it's hard to understand why it wasn't. The city brims with architectural charm, pride of place, a cool combination where radically modern style among young people mixes comfortably with people in their everyday Dirndls and Janker--it's not hockey, it's normal here. Graz is home to a number of universities and has a huge number of students, but it also boasts ample historic sites, great culture in the way of its opera, ballet and many museums, not to mention the summertime StyrArte music festival, and a castle or two, one that hovers over the downtown. There's an incredibly laid-back, unhurried life style that lends itself to lingering and enjoying. It's easy to get around on streetcars and buses, and the entire downtown shopping district and the Old Town proper is a vehicle-free pedestrian zone, making a safe area to explore. Graz has become one of my favorite spots in central Europe, just a couple of hours away from Vienna.

The Graz old town is beautiful. It is no wonder that it is on UNESCO World Heritage List! Everything is perfectly preserved. The best thing is that Graz is not that big, so you can really see everything in one day. The prices are off course a little higher on the main shopping streets but if you go a little on the side streets you will get great food for a lower price. Definitely take your time in exploring the old town. It is one of the best historical centres in Austria!
