A very lovely, intimate, and (I imagine, most of the time) uncrowded hot springs. I also had a massage, which altho' probably more expensive than lots of other venues, was so relaxing and calming. The most beautiful location, and like most things on Lesvos, understated...

This was a little more rustic than our expectation of a "spa baths" A white concrete igloo next to the sea. Changing facilities were basic, a screen in a communal room. Four of us immersed ourselves in a scalding communal bath with the expectation of all our ailments disappearing, not sure that happened but we had a lot of fun with the experience. 4euros to dip in the naturally heated hot water (with the natural addition of boiled leaves) Sit until you can't stand it any longer then a quick transition outside to the naturally cold water of the sea or fresh water hose pipe, then back to the hot.It was a surprisingly serene and relaxing experience. I wouldn't make a special trip but if your in Molyvos give it a try

Very different from the hot spring onsens I am used to in Japan, but absolutely divine. Strange to have to wear a swimming costume but understandable as one regularly dips into the ocean between hot spring soaks. Very potent water that left me feeling not of this world and in just the right mood for a relaxing massage after. Can recommend both the morning and evening times when I was there, less folk in the morning which yielded a more zen experience. Extremely reasonable prices, I would have gone daily if I had discovered this earlier!

Serene and relaxing, the Eftalou Hot Springs will leave your muscles singing! A beautiful natural experience not to be missed if you're visiting Molyvos. Bring swimming gear and some flip flops as the sea is literally next to the site to cool off in. Good chance to take some holiday snaps as well.

Whist staying in Lesvos we always pay a visit to Eftalou its a nice quiet place to relax and ots so peaceful there are some nice beaches if you walk past the baths and around the bays. this year we decided we would go and try out the private baths because by doing that it is possible to alter the temperature of the bath unlike the communal pool which is too hot for me, it was shear bliss to have a relaxing soak whist listening to the sea crashing against the rocks right outside your window.after that I had a lovely massage just to finish off it was just perfect.

It does not worth finding the place. You will realize it when a man with such a bad mood welcomes you on the door.

The healing waters at Eftalou are amazing but it is a bit basic when it comes to how it works: first you dip yourself ever so gently into the hot water in the bathhouse [this can be both a shock and a bit off putting as it is truly ancient]; then you have to make your way out to the sea for the cold treatment. It leaves your skin feeling amazing, your aches comforted and you very exhausted. It's worth it but don't expect mod cons.

When you hear the word heal we all just go ahead. Most probably it helps but if you give regular visits. The place is poor quality and it is cheap. If you care the word heal give a visit. The water is strong enough and you feel refreshed after jumping into the cold water. Feel yourself motivated with healing idea for just few euros. I hope U like it.

We stayed at Molivos & the springs are only a short bus ride. Its only 4 euros to use the hot springs & kids are free. I also had a massage, the treatment rooms had amazing views. We went twice, on our second visit we arrived about 5.30pm & it was lovely & quiet (the springs are open to 7pm). I would really recommend a visit, even my 7 & 10 year old enjoyed themselves-the water may be too hot for smaller children.

This is a very quaint little place, and I can imagine in busy times there would be a wait to go in, but it was fairly quiet when we were there and great fun. The inside of the hot spring is small and whitewashed, a bit like the inside a church, and the water is very hot - you can only stay in for a couple of minutes. The lady in charge gives you very firm instructions as to what to do, and we follwed the sea dip followed by hot spring soak routine. There are some fabulous rocky beaches as you walk away from the hot spring, with good snorkelling, and a very busy but good taverna on one beach close by. If you want to go into the church by the taverna, you need to cover up.

We walked from our hotel, The Sunrise Resort in Molyvos to these springs and it was a gorgeous walk along the beach road which took a leisurely 40 mins. We stopped off at the taverna near the springs for a lovely coffee and arrived just intending to have a look round. The attendant was very helpful and we spent 10 euro for both of us including towel hire. It's a fun experience and we laughed at each other getting in and out of the pebbly sea after our first dip in the baths as your legs turn to jelly with the heat of the thermal waters. The sea water was lovely warm with of patches of very warm thermal waters and crystal clear. On the walk back we sat under a tree near the waters edge surrounded by Greek families enjoying their Sunday afternoon. Sheer heaven and we are going back tomorrow to spend the whole day on the beach which is between The Sunrise Resort and Eftalou.
