Do not tell your friends about this unspoiled virgin beach that is only accessible by a 40 minute walk from the Potami beach. If too many people go then its charm may be lost. bring your own water and snacks and do not forget to remove your trash
I have never been in my life in an other place like that!It is very much like what we see in films and cannot believe in our eyes: A beautiful, sandy beach with crystal waters, that we can have almost completely for ourselves:)There is not much more to say to describe the place, the image speaks for itself, so I think it would be better to add some tips:1) There are 2 ways to go there:a) You go to the small port of Karlovassi and at around 9-10 in the morning, there is a small boat leaving. It returns at around 17.00 The cost is only 5 euro and the trip is beautiful and relaxed (would recommend this option only to people with certain disabilities)b) My personal advice is to walk to the beach! It takes about 1 hour, you definately need sports shoes and supplies (lots of water, hat, maybe some fruits or snack), but the path makes your mission worth 100%. AMAZING beauty, magic scenery, walking up the hill, in the forest, by the sea. I can't hold my enthusiasm when writing about it...So many different plants, colours, odors...Pictures that you hold for the rest of your life!2) As I mentioned, you need water and supplies. However, If you run out, there is a quite good chance you find there visitors or a couple of families who have houses in the forest to ask for some water in case of emergency3) There is a very good chance you find yourself ALONE in the beach, even during August!!!...How much would you value an experience like that ?4) If you go by foot, make sure you return before sundown. It wouldn' t be easy to follow path signs in the dark!Enjoy the experience!
A walk to this beach from Potami was a highlight of our holiday. You need to wear sturdy trainers or walking shoes and allow about 2 and a half hours for the round trip but it was worth it for the views and sight of the empty beach at the end where a swim in the sea was a must (although it was quite cold and there was a strong under current). You need to take your own refreshments and sun hats! Don't stop at Mikro Seitani- it really is worth the extra 40 minutes walk to this next beach!
Fancy the backwoods in Greece? then, this area has some of the finest ,undisturbed villages of the mainland and amply rewarded us for the effort in getting here. Mountain, forest and terra-cotta roofs combine in an extraordinary and forceful rural symphony. Klavsi village lies snugly in the wooded hills. One thing that stands out,is the alpine style with verandas,to catch the sun as in Koryscades. Donkeys remain the practised means of transport in so an unyielding mountainous terrain. We found the beehives in megalo, where mountain flowers give superb honey,so sip your cup-full while looking from Mikro Horio, the peak of the Kaliakouda mountain. Absolute ,superb combo.... and of-course the company of my femme. The beach was a reward made in heaven. Shame they don't have a bank of hammocks strewn about the sand. Enjoy
This is really worth long walk under the hot sun! It is just fantastic! Beautiful to see and to swim and snorkel!its so long that even if there's someone it seems like you are alone there! The water is crystal clean and full of fish!if you look behind it looks like Alps, really nice mountains. As for me this is the best beach on the island. Watch for sea conditions, go there if the sea is calm, otherwise you loose a lot of its beauty. And i noticed in the morning its definitely more calm
Accessible only on foot or by boat it is the best sandy beach on Samos. Fantastic landscape, wild mountainous backdrop. Bring food and water along. Due to exposed location avoid it on days with strong northern winds
Mare come sempre pulitissimo.
