mati - bouka beach

We visited the Mati beach, where the Koa Beach Club it's situated once and enjoyed a sunset. Nice sandy beach, for those who want to listen to some music and drink cocktails, there's always the option of sitting at the Koa Beach Club.

It had been 2 years since we were last at this beach and it has really changed. There is a new cafe-bar called Koa behind the beach, which is very modern, has club music and a pool. There is also an uncovered play area for children, dressing rooms with showers and an awesome lounge area with spectacular views of the sea. Directly below the bar, you can find umbrellas and a beach volleyball court run by the same company. Prices are reasonable with a coffee costing about 2.80 and and a baguette stuffed with feta, salami and olives 3.00. Umbrella and lounge are included in the price if you buy a coffee. The beach itself is sandy and seems almost endless. A small stream flows into it providing an additional play place for children. There is a fair amount of bamboo on the beach as people make campfires in the area at night.

This is an OK beach in the area - it is quite steep and rocky in places but there are good opportunities for snorkelling and once you get out to sea it is more sandy. There is no beach bar or cafe so you need to bring your own food. The best thing about the beach was the almost stagnant looking river where we parked our car near the beach (on the right as you approach). In this we saw no fewer that 5 terrapins, 2 snakes, some toads and lizards. Everytime we looked in it we saw something new. That's the main reason we visited twice as there are some better beaches in the area!

μεγαλη παραλια,ρηχη,με αμμο,ιδανικη για παιδια,χωρο για ρακετες και αλλα παιχνιδια,λογω μεγεθους οχι ο ενας πανω στον αλλον,αν υπαρχει ομπρελλα και ψυγειο δυνατοτητα για αρκετες ωρες παραμονης

Κάποιοι θα την τοποθετούσαν στο top 10 των ελληνικών παραλιών.Ίσως να μην είναι τόσο ψηλα, αλλά παραμένει μια πολύ καλή παραλία, ουσιαστικά η συνέχεια αυτής του Costa Navarino.Η θάλασσα συνεχώς αλλάζει τη μορφολογία της ακτης και αυτό την κάνει ακόμα πιο ενδιαφέρουσα.Ήρεμη ή με κύμα απολαμβάνεις μπάνιο.Ιδανική για απογευματινό μπάνιο και εξαιρετικά ηλιοβασιλέματα. Πολύ εύκολη πρόσβαση και με λίγο περπάτημα ενδείκνυται και για απομόνωση.

Η παραλία χαρακτηρίζεται από το χρυσαφί χρώμα της και την μεγάλη σε μήκος και πλάτος έκτασή της. Υπάρχουν πολλά σημεία για απομόνωση εξαιτίας της έκτασης της και κάπου στα μέσα της παραλίας υπάρχει σχολή για kitesurf και windsurf για όσους ενδιαφέρονται για θαλάσσια sport.
