Beautiful setting, accommodating - we just drove up and they offered a lovely tasting of wines as well as a cheese and olive complement. Friendly staff, spoke English well. Quality wine that was affordable. Highly recommend!!!

We turned up without booking at about 5pm. We had a friendly welcome, however the man explained that he was due a large group to arrive very soon. However he still kindly squeezed us in for the wine tasting, however this meant that we were unable to do the tour (still at the same price of €3.50). The wine tasting was enjoyable and he explained each one to us. We went away happy with a bottle of wine for €9. Would highly recommend, and would advise booking a time via the website. Should we have done the full tour I'm sure we would have given this a 5/5.

Just turned up and they were very accommodating. There were only the 4 of us (2 adults & 2 small children), we tasted 6 wines (2 white 1 rose 2 red and 1 dessert) and ate bread cheese and olives. Phenomenal value and I was driving! (still worth it if you're spitting).

The wine is excellent! The flavor and taste show that it's quality wine we are dealing with. Friendly staff, doing the wine tasting very convincingly. Visiting Karavitakis should be a must while staying at Crete west.

8 of us visited the winery in the afternoon and had a very interesting tour explaining the wine making process. We then got to try several of the wines and bought numerous bottles of the ones we liked! We drank most of them before the holiday was over!

A very nice place with english speaking guide. We were welkomed and showed arround the winery. At the end we tasted 6 differend wines together with bread and cheese. Then we could buy what we liked. Rember to buy the winebags to protekt the wine in your suitcase.

We were driving our rented car and saw some signs leading to Karavitakis Winery and then we went there. A nice guy showed us around, after the tour we went to taste some of the wines and then we bought the wines we liked. It was cheap wine and we had a great day ;)

The tour was great to see their facility. The wines were great!!!!! The reds they have there are amazing and the dessert wine (normally most are too sweet) was amazing!!!!! it was 49 euros for the dessert wine and we were sure if we bought it, we would drink it way to quickly, but we LOVED it!!!!! still thinking about it 2 weeks later :). We did buy a bottle of their red wine and it was only 12 euros which was a great price for it. I believe it was 3 euros each to sample about 6 wines. Loved this place!!!!!

For those that still think that greece does not produce good wines, think again! We were 4 days in Crete and went twice to Karavitakis Winery. The wines are absolutely incredible and the host (Nicolas) was amazing. The price of the wine tasting is very reasonable (3,5 Euros) and a much better vallue than the other winery that we tried in the area.The only downside is that we could not purchase all of the wines we wanted to because we were leaving for Santorini the following day.This winery beats many of the Italian and French wineries that I have visited.Enjoy!

We had a wonderful Time , the hospitality of the owner was incredible. Anxious to see these marvelous wine in Canada !

Great Winery visit with tasty wines and very nice location and guided tour! Nikos even helped us to organize a comfortable and cozy house in a village near the vinery!Thanks for that!

Nico and his family shows an utmost amazing attitude and love for wine making. The wines we tasted were some of the best I've ever had, and the hole party of 20+ persons from my family, ended up with buying a large amount of assorted wines, which were all close to perfect in taste.I cannot imagine a better place to spend 2+ hours on Crete, than at this winery!

If you go to only one winery on Crete, this should be the one! Niko and his family are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about making (good!) wine. We tried an interesting and delicious selection of wines made from both traditional and new grape varieties, in comfortable and charming surroundings. A perfect morning!
