The Beach were very popular but not overcrowded. Lots of waves. Clean and nice. The Best Beach West of Chania.
Very clean, nice sand, beautiful clear water, toilets and change rooms, small kiosk with snacks and drinks. Sun lounges with umbrellas available. You can have a great day here and only 8 euros by taxi from Chania or there is a local bus. Well worth the visit.
Pretty local beach for Chania, recreational facilities and pretty well kept cove beach. Frequented by locals with clean waters and great snorkling
Nice beach with clear water. It's usually not windy and not so many waves on the water as on the beach across the road.Better to come here in the second part of the day. There are changing cabins, toilets and showers available on site.Snorkeling lovers will also find something to do here. There are some stones and fishes swimming between them.If you are searching for a really beautiful beaches with white sand then you will be more interested in visiting Elafonisi and Balos beach.
It costs 7.50 euros to hire 2 sun beds and an umbrella. Initially this seemed a bit steep but definitely worth every cent. The beach is very clean, set in a beautiful bay. There are numerous toys, books and games which you can use for free. The use of toilet is free, which is very nicely decorated and kept very clean. There also is a little snackbar on site where one day I had the best cheese burger I've ever tasted and the next day a lovely tuna salad. A very good atmosphere all round, very suitable for adults and children.
We stopped off at this beach (which seemed to have been rebranded as 'Sunset Beach') on our last day, on our way to the airport. It was the perfect 'final swim' - a wonderful experience to leave Crete on a high. The water is clear and shallow (great for kids) before getting gradually deeper allowing for a proper swim (unlike a lot of the so-called 'nicer' beaches). The facilities here also stood out - 7 Euros for 2 sunbeds and table seemed steep, but the beach also provided fresh water showers, changing 'sheds' and a selection of snack bars. Highly recommended - a real gem so close to Chania town, which itself is wonderfully charming.
Not what you exactly think about a paradise, but its quiet and nice view.the sea is clean and the beach is long and good place for families. There is a beach bar where you can buy staff.Recommended for families.
We come here every year, the beach is very clean, the water is fine and the toilets are clean and decorated with lost of funy things. The service is OK and you can lent toys and books for free. The are free Wi-Fi.2 sunbeds and a umbrella cost 7,5 €Yoy can leave your towel on the sunbed and go home and then come back later, you have the sunbeds the whole day that way.
A nice beach, where you could find a good spot somewhere even on the windy days. friendly staff in the beach bar. Even a free book-shelf in the middle of the beach. And : The most fantastically decorated toilet I've ever seen ......
The best beach i have ever been on.It has books magazines toys for the children snorkeling wifi plenty of sun bed and Nikos is a very friendly person. We ready enjoyed going to this beach .
This must be the best beach near Chania Town. if you stay on the west part of the city, you can reach the beach just by walking (20-40 min depending where you are), but there's public bus service as well. The beach is sandy, with cristal clear water, and a there's a place with rocks where you can really have a nice time snorkeling. It's a nice beach to swim. You have a small beach bar to get something to eat or drink.
Brilliant! it was a great organized beach, nice an quiet with a great atmosphere and I loved the way they decorated everything! also the drinks and food are reasonably prices and it is just 10 minutes by taking the bus from the center of chania.
the beach is not huge as the one next door, the bar is wonderful and the atmosphere is cool and relaxing
Love what they're trying to do here :-)There are books, magazines, games, toys, lilos etc, things that so many people normally abandon at the end of their holiday are being recycled. The beach itself is beautifully sandy, shelves very gently & is generally very sheltered. There's a beach bar but no tavernas.
A good place to swim near Chania Town - we caught a taxi there - it cost 8 euros but between 4 of us it came out around the same as the bus only quicker. The beach itself has change rooms, toilets, a cafe and beach chairs. Apart from the clean water to swim in this beach also has people selling fresh fruit. We also liked the fact that there is another beach located very close by and the taxi stand is easy to reach in the car park. This made a very quick to return to Chania town when we had enough.
