hands down one of the best beaches in the world. The views from high or on sand or especilally from water looking back to the cliff faces - spectacular
Drove here from our hotel in Pollonia one day.Beautiful sunny day in October. Only about 10 people at the beach. Enjoyed lying in the sun and swimming in the beautiful green and blue waters. Could not be better.
Though this isn't the most beautiful beach on Milos, this is a great place to kick back and relax. There are sunbeds for €5 apiece with the usual service. My wife and I got a couple of sunbeds and spent a few hours on this beach. Probably best to get to this beach before 11AM as the parking is limited.
This beach is excellent for its surrealistic views! You can also swim, but that's not the main reason to visit this place. There are no restaurants or whatsoever, so bring your own food.
One of the best beaches in Milos. You cannot go there with the bus, but is worth to visit it!! The water is crystal clear blue and clean!! The beach is organised but if you want more privacy you can walk a bit further and palce your own umbrella.
You have to get there as well, good access, beautiful water, fishes when snorkelling what else? You have to pay for umbrella when very hot season like everywhere but it is ok
Hardly the best, went on a windy day and it was pretty unpleasant. Nothing that special about the view in my opinion. Nice but I'd go to the other beaches before seeking out this one, even archivadolmini was way better
Nice beach bar, the beach is clean and the water is not so deep like the others beaches in the island!! Nice baboo seabed!! Enjoy it!! :)
During our 2 weeks stay in Milos we went to Firiplaka several times (with clouds, without clouds, with rough sea, with smooth sea) and it was always wonderful. No matter how many tourists were there, we always found a quiet spot. There is also a nice beach bar where it is nice to end up the day drinking a freddo cappuccino. Just wanted to tell the stone seekers (the beach is famous for its colorful rocks): try to restrain yourselves, not just because people bent to the ground look ridiculous, but also because the beach gets spoiled if you bring the stones home.
Milos' most tropical looking beach. The water shows the Caribbean colors of blues and greens in front of a sandy & pebbles beach. The water is amongst the clearest I've ever seen, giving a bathtub visibilty of the sandy bottom. For young children, it is good as it is very shallow for at least 50m with various sand banks offering support. Well organized, I liked the natural sun shades and -beds, offering a resort feeling. Good place too for people watching, as Firiplaka seems to attract Milos' most attractive.Be aware that parking is not organized and late comers must walk up to 5-10' on a sloped dirt road to get down to the beach. Nice detail: just entering the beach area, you'll find two traditional homes (like in Firopotamos or Mandrakia).Snorkelers can see lots of sand, unless you swim out quite far to a rock, offering a small reef-like experience. It is my no.2 beach in Milos (as Paliochori is more entertaining under water) and better than Sarakiniko (magnificent, but not for a full day's stay). What a great place!
on the south cost of Milos. Together with Paliochori, equallly easy access, unexpensive, beautifully bleu waters, possibly the south coast is the least adventourous but well deserves the fame
I just loved that beach!!!! Don't you make the mistake not to go there!! It's the number one beach of the island for me!! There is also a nice beach bar there and we had the private big bed...nice and different!!
I don't recommend this beach on a windy day. Go to Paliochori where the sand is more of a pebble and won't blow around.
My favorite beach on the island (if you don't count Kleftiko as a beach). Dramatic cliffs above the beach, and longsmooth waves rolling onto its sand. There are other beaches that might be more swimmer friendly, but the view with its surroundings is hard to beat, not only on Milos, but anywhere else, for that matter.
In an island of truly amazing beaches in my opinion this is the best of the accessible beaches. I loved it worth going
