This is not a place if you are used to have a good service. Nor some unique wines to taste (I guess that's what you are expecting). Nor a place for honeymooners if you are expecting a special treat or something. Just the views and the shop. Nothing to see if you want to see the traditional way of wine making. Too commercial, too crowded, very bad service, and the wines that you can find at every shop in Santorini. If you have visited already all the wineries of the island and need this one to close the list, go.

We visited here on a wine tasting tour back in mid-November. Sadly, very little commentary/description actually accompanied the wine tasting itself (it was more of a frenzied, chaotic free-for-all, as people rushed to quickly down the different wines and move on). Staff didn't bother doing much more than pouring glasses...Despite this, the venue itself is amazing! What a location! We managed to snag a table at the edge of the balcony terrace, which overlooked the gorgeous scenery of the Santorini Caldera. We were able to enjoy fresh, local tomatoes, purple and green olives, and a tasty feta cheese, while sampling the various wines.The white wine "Nykteri" was very dry; the red "Vedema" proved a real chore to try and choke down; the dessert wine, "Vinsanto" was incredibly sweet and juice-like, but the best of the three.

My wife and I visited Santo Winery while staying in Santorini on our honeymoon. We took the bus from Fira to the winery for a wine tasting. We sat outside on their big patio overlooking the caldera. The views were absolutely amazing! We ordered the tasting for two, which was twelve generous pours of wine along with snacks. Very good value for the money. We were impressed with the wines and enjoyed relaxing and taking in the view. It was overrun with tour groups periodically, but it's hard to avoid this on Santorini. Definitely worth a stop to enjoy the wine and spectacular views.

A crowded commercialized tourist location. However the views of the sea, Santorini and the volcano are breathtaking. Who thought we'd find a drinkable white wine and a very good desert wine on an island in the middle of the Aegean?

My husband and I have visited Santorini many times but previously had never been to the winery. As soon as you walk into the complex the views are breathtaking. Seating and tables have been positioned so that you can enjoy a drink or food overlooking the caldera and it is a perfect place to see the sunset. We came to do some wine tasting and were shown to a lovely outdoor terrace and offered various packages we could try. We opted for a "12 flight" tasting option. This consisted of 12 sample glasses with a card indicating the name, age, grape and production process of each one. There were also bowls of cheese cubes, olives, rusks and tomatini paste to accompany the wine and bring out the flavour. We spent a lovely couple of hours enjoying the wine and sunshine before heading into the well stocked shop to buy a couple of bottles if our favourites ( as well as some other local produce) before heading on to our next destination. Defiantly worth a look if you are staying in Santorini, however I would recommend that you get a taxi there and back!!

If you have a feel for good or bad wines these wines while maybe good for. santorini don't make the grade . The views are to die for you are on hill with views of the island . We did the wine sampling and left without a purchase . Say tour bus after bus come but why?...

During our stay on glorious Santorini we visited Santo Winery as part of a bus tour and were very impressed, the wines were good and the olives, tomatoes and the salty cheese was something to write home about, scrumptious.A beautifully set out place overlooking the water you could relax there all day with a wine or two just taking it all in. Well run with good staff it was a good tasting with amazing views. If you go to Santorini pay this winery a visit you will enjoy it .

My husband and I came here for a wine tasting with a tour and it was great! They greeted our tour group right away and had samples for us within minutes. They were very busy as well, so quite impressed with how fast the service was. Great day activity!

We have been to many wineries in California and the experience is of course the main attraction, the wine, but also what really adds is the person providing the wine tasting. The view of the caldera was spectacular and the 6 wine tastings were quite good but a total deduction was because of the person behind the bar. A half smile would at least be appreciated. I liked the white wines but not a fan of the reds but I am partial to whites. A vin santo dessert wine was the last tasting. With the wine, cheese, hard pretzels, and tomato paste were servedThe shop was great with a wide variety of wines and other quality souvenirs. We did buy several bottles of wine and felt like they were very reasonably priced.We were the only ones there and so glad the tour buses weren't there

This is a perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine. We tried a collection of different red and white wines, and they were all great. Unfortunately the changed one of the reds to a white, so instead of having 3 white and 2 red, we got 4 whites. So the decription that matched each wine didn't match with that one. But it was a minor problem, because it all tasted wonderful.

Breathtaking views and good wine. My favorite was the sparkling, the other were ok. Great cappuccinos and snacks. But the view was the best part. I highly recommend checking this place out!

Definitely recommend this place to visit and take many different wines, and believe me you will find a lot of good wines and quaint. Anyway, I left there with a big bag full of good variety of wines. Especially good is a dessert wine made from dried grapes pressed called Vinsato.

Amazing view,amazing local wine,local friendly service makes it very special !!!!Tasted the 6 glasses for 11.50 euros with local amazing paximadi ,cheese and tomato paste worth every penny.Really clean and beautiful bathrooms !!!!A must spot to visit in Santorini!Recommend to everybody .

I think we have visited here every time we have been to Santorini. We get the bus from Fira and just say to the bus driver Santo Wines. He will give you a shout usually when you get there. The stop is called Santo too. I highly recommend that you get the bus and not drive - that way you can really enjoy your wine tasting.The views here are amazing. They really picked a perfect spot when they chose to build it here.You can do the wine tasting - with a few glasses or a whole tray full. With the wine tasting you get some cheese and tomato paste with crunchy little biscuit things. If you just want to buy by the glass you can If you find a wine that you like, you can stay and just drink that afterwards, until you need to go back for a nap!Santo have brought out a fizz this year based on the Assyriko grape and it is delicious. I may have had a few of these after the wine tasting.You can also do a tour which we did last time. You get to go down into the cellars and see how they make the wine. Good if you have a bit more time on your hands.Buy a few bottles in the shop to take home and remember your visit to this beautiful island and remember that view.
